OK, I know I am in the Gruden thread and it is for Gruden speculation. My question is,
All of you thinking Gruden is coming, How do you explain Hart offering Strong?
It makes no sense we would offer Strong a contract. It seems people here are suggesting that we knew Strong would decline. It just makes no sense.

If this was only Hart doing the search, I would agree. I still believe the power brokers behind UT football.. the Haslam's, Manning, and even old alums like Majors and Fulmer would not let this search be as lame as it appears. Somewhere, behind closed doors, somebody is either raising hell with Hart, or just using him as a puppet that they will pat on the back for job well done. (Unless they did this and he's just a puppet).

Either way, it they want the ILLUSION that it's a lame search, they are doing a damn good job of it!!!

If Gruden is announced as the coach at the University of Tennessee at any point in this coaching search, I, mrorange211, will do the following:

A.) make a post in this thread confirming my idiocy in this entire process.

B.) Convey a time I will be calling into the local radio station in Nashville, 104.5, to announce my streaking at Austin Peay.

C.) Streak at the first home game.
