If gruden was not coming Tee Martin would not be interested in these other positions add to the fact the only other coach he said he would come for was Les Miles and he is out

This may be nothing and please don’t shoot me, but..

I do not have sources. I do not know anyone but I’m going to pass along info that I listened to on a radio show here in Chattanooga on Saturday. It’s a radio show on 105.1 from 10AM to noon. Jim Place, a real estate guru here in town is known to be good friends with Fulmer. He was asked point blank about Gruden. If he was still in play and if Fulmer would reach out to him. He said simply: not would. He was asked if he knows what the conversation was about then? He said: for the job that we all want him to take in Knoxville. He was asked what he thought may happen. He said: I can tell you that money is no object and they will make him the highest paid if that’s what it will take.

There was then a discussion of what the hold is or has been and he said: I know that there have been discussions between Gruden or grudens people and EA sports about making him the face of the nfl franchise madden, when the contract for madden is up. That has been the point of frustration in meetings. I can tell you that they(people in power at Tennessee) will do whatever they can or have to do to make sure it can get done if Gruden wants it.

I don’t know if the madden thing is true or not but it’s what I heard on the radio Saturday morning. If I’m bringing useless info or incorrect info, I apologize but it is what I heard Saturday morning.

Why would those guys make a lateral move to Tennessee? Jump from a school in SEC Championship game to team in a mess for the same job. Seems highly unlikely.

I believe Mel Tucker previously coached under JG. It also hurts Georgia...and if that is who JG wants..... get him on board ASAP.

Right but a decision must be made before an announcement. There have been rumors that today was decision day.

Considering what we have been through in 2012 and Sunday before last??? Yes, I am concerned its for the HC position.

I would rather have Tee than the other coordinators we’ve been “interviewing”...but I’m believing it’s Gruden.

I know most people know this, but in case you don’t, Trey Wallace was the one that was full on Gruden weeks ago and had put it at 60% or better. He broke the Florida story earlier this year, etc.

Just seems odd to me
