"Here's the deal as I know it. The coup that ousted Currie and de-fanged Haslam had an immediate plan to bring Gruden back to the table. That particular group of men are the ones that have been dead-set on bringing Gruden to the Hill since 2009. The result of the Cincinnati meeting is as yet uncertain.

My gut says that--

If I had to place a wager (and I wouldn't if I were you) I would gauge the interests of both parties as very high. But there would be a huge cost if the deal happened. HUGE. After the Schiano debacle and the unrest, plus the specifics of the Fisher deal at A&M, I wouldn't be surprised if Gruden's priced himself out of the market.

As for the deadline of today, I had that confirmed by multiple sources. But here's the thing with sources--they have agendas too. There are too many signals going up around Gruden for me to ignore--which annoys the hell out of me because I didn't even consider him a credible option until last week when people started contacting me--but I just don't see a deal being done. That's my personal opinion, and I don't give two rats' asses whether I'm right or wrong. Not my horse...or whale, such as the case may be.

Regardless, we'll know more later today."

If this is the case, and these guys want it, and we had the week we had, then Gruden is getting the biggest deal ever seen, they will not back out now, the leverage doesn't exist for us, and we pay the man!

What is more likely? Fulmer is running point on coordinators for Gruden so JG can't be caught flying to some random location to speak with someone about being on staff?

or

Fulmer is interviewing HC candidates?

Legitimate question, not saying one way or the other.

Either are possible.

Money was no issue in the beginning, that's been known plus imagine all the money and more you would get back instantly over night if he is hired..if you are a business man you know this hire is gold and nothing but profit for years to come

Take this and add it to Mel Tucker being talked to again today and throw in a side of Les Miles being out this morning. Positive vibes.

Celina also wrote the boosters would keep adding a million at a time until he said yes or they were bankrupt

All I've heard is money will not cause this deal to fail..guess we'll see

We are going to have to overspend no matter what we do. Do we overspend on the closest thing to a sure thing there is or overspend on another up and comer and hope he hits?

This is a no brainer for me, but I don't donate millions. However, I will spend a lot of money going to games and buying apparel if it is Gruden. Not so much if it is some of the other names.

Before he went to prison, his net worth was 17 billion. His wife had assets of 823 million. I'd say that qualifies as a billionaire.

Sigh...my original statement was about how many billionaires are in prison. Bernie's not a billionaire, his assets got seized. They're not gonna seize Haslam's billions over this.
