Paul, I love you, we all do. However, after following this obsessively for over 2 months now, I need words instead of gifs. My brain is fried.

I know I wasn't around much last week because I was on vacation, but check mrmax's stats and you'll see that the Gruden thread is all I've done for months.

Please use words.

You don't know what trolling is. Saying something you don't like doesn't make it trolling.

Wanting good things for the program is fine. I want Gruden too.

Unfortunately, before the Shianamo, it moved into the dangerous territory from wanting Gruden to expecting this Gruden fantasy. This is bad for everyone because it could keep the fanbase from getting behind a great hire because they didn't do something that had a zero percent chance from the start.

This group of fans wanting Gruden has little to no effect on the fanbase supporting whoever the next coach is. I don't care if Fulmer were to trot out Saban, Gruden, or whoever. You're never going to have a guy that everyone likes all the time. Look at the Gundy situation for an example. There were some that didn't like it, but the majority would have supported him and given him ample time to right the ship. I've been cautiously optimistic this time around with Gruden. Last time I was overly excited thinking it was happening. If it happens, great, we can say we got our guy. If it doesn't happen, this fanbase, as a majority, will give the guy a chance so long as it's not some buffoon like Schiano. That's my take on it.

aside from Gruden still being in play, i don't know that we've talked to either one of these guys? i don't know that we've talked to Martin yet either.

and IF the Harrleson reports of Morris and Arkansas are heating up, and Miles is off the table per Thamel, then the only other actionable info we have to date is Steele and Tucker.

and that would suck.

Come on guys, has Gruden said no yet? If Miles is the 2nd option and he is being tied to UCF now, that is one "Les" acceptable option for AD Fulmer. I hope Coach Miles goes there and excels, wish him the best.

I want Gruden. Most of you want Gruden. So is it, Gruden 'till it ain't or did I just waste 2 weeks of my life lurking in this thread hanging on every post for naught???

I think we are all tired and ready for this whole mess to finally come to an end. I trust Phil, and understand some things are beyond his control. This has been 10 years in the making, and we know it can be turned around immediately with the right guy, or we could be right back here in 4 years. We are waiting, the players are waiting, recruits are waiting, current coaches are waiting...all of us are ready to get an answer and move on.

We've been saying all along Miles was a candidate, so either that was a leak from his side or the AD for good reason

1.)if les leaks it from his side he saves face if he is told no!

2.)the AD possibly did so for the fact they already have their guy as of now

But why would the AD side care enough to make it known he isn't being considered now? I think this morning we told him no and **** is about to drop later today of who we have hired
