Behr knows its Gruden. He hasnt came back.
Edit - I hope he knows!!
Again, fits with the weird....
I've mostly just commented "I want Gruden" beyond anything else because I don't have any inside info...... But I've paid attention to people who have claimed insider info.
It's been here, there, and the other place but the general thread amongst them has been pretty much the same.
First it was, "TN is gonna make a run at him for real this time!" And really, that's all most of us wanted.
Then it was "WE GOT 'IM!" Then we didn't....
Turns out it was the Haslams (and their stooge, Currie) that torpedoed it.
But then, Currie (and by extension, the Haslams) trotted out Schiano and his PSU connection caused VN to reVOLt.
Which led to Curries firing (after a week of utter S**T) and Fulmer being installed. Which also led to the de-fanging of the Haslams. Which was a WONDERFUL thing! I could go on and on about what I think of the Haslams but not here.
Now, this re-sets the whole Gruden thing. He (Gruden) didn't want to work for Currie (who is an a** by all accounts) and by extension for the Haslams.
Now Fulmer goes in to talk to Gruden again, Gruden says meh..... Fulmer has to go in
again and explain to him that he'll be working WITH Fulmer (not FOR him) and that the Haslams have been put in time-out.
In the meantime, Fulmer lines up another coach (Miles) who would take the job in a heart-beat (for various reasons) as a back-up.
Gruden finally realizes that the "political" system in the ADpt has been rectified and today he says yes.
Serious tin-foil hat stuff but it explains everything that has happened up to now......
