Gruden, obvious pandemonium, possible (likely?) streaking, biggest splash hire possible.

Miles, I am fine with this. I think he has something left in the tank and something to prove.

Morris, not as negative as many are on him. Not sold either.

Petersen, I don't think there has been a hint of smoke there, but stellar hire if we could land him.

Kiffin, I think he would come here and win, I also think Phil would sign off on me before allowing it to happen.

Solid. All true.

I don't want Morris, and there is nothing to indicate Petersen is interested.

I really hope Fulmer at least makes the phone call. Dude can flat coach.

Such a Gruden thread question

It's a legitimate question. I quoted a post earlier (in my post history, you can look), and his username was UTSuave. Now when I click back to the original post I quoted, the username has been changed to UTSuave'

I don't know about Vol Colonel, but I have seen he is quite pompous on twitter.

I don't know. I cannot confirm. Jmo. Tifwiw.

I've not seen him be right about anything. I think he guesses mostly. I don't like him. My opinion should not be important to anyone but me.

He's a retread fro sure....but a highly qualified retread.

I for one will take a qualified, proven retread over a two year mid-major HC, or an unproven Coordinator...no matter how well thought of.

Absent a splash Gruden hire I'm all in with Miles.

I’d prefer Kif over Miles but like you said, he’s proven. At this point Miles is a helluva better than what we were staying at last week IMO

Stepped out to run errands and it seems we’re still in the Upside Down.....Suave has a new name, Exile is in purgatory, but the T-shirt sales seem high! Lol.

1) Don't know....nobody does.
2) my disappointment over Gruden would be short lived, replaced quickly by excitement over hiring the most qualified individual we had publicly shown interest in. Miles hits all of my tick marks....good recruiter, SEC experience, beat Saban, beat Florida, winning record, SEC Championships, National Championship. What's not to like?
3) I don't know about the staff, but it would excited me to see Tee back, and Kevin Steele would be a coup. Not sure how many others would come, but those two combined with Phil would be enough Orange blood to re-instill some pride and Tennessee values back into our depleted program.

Don’t remember who said it first, but there was previous speculation that if Steele was on his way, that maybe Garner would come with him??

Exile if you read this and need help, like this post and we will find you buddy.

He LIKED IT!!!

Yeah, with Petersen, it is just wishful thinking on a lot of people's part. I would love it, but there has just been nothing to suggest it was possible.

People were pronouncing it wrong....so he had to have it changed....no harm no foul

I believe it's suav-A

I have no problem with Kiffin...

BUT ITS NOT EVER HAPPENING....especially with Phil as AD. He'd chain the gates to Neyland shut before he'd allow Lane Kiffin to coach in Knoxville again.

I sure wish PF and co would entertain Kiffin! Yeah he left us in the middle of the night. He knows he screwed up! Most have forgiven him! UT football needs to be fun again. Give him a extreamly strict contract with a very low buyout. I think he would take it. He would have a great staff. I think PF could control him and quite frankly enjoy having him here! It would be the ultimate middle finger to the Haslams!!!!! Just DO IT already...before someone else snags him...

One last try....

If I could ask a question or two?

1) has PM been involved with the JG deal?
2) if not, has PM alignment w/Haslam made the JG deal harder for us to get done?(JG has less interest without PM involvement)
