Good morning Grudenville! For the first time in a week, I spent the night with my family and didn’t worry about the search at all. It was lovely.

I hope today brings good things, but at least the fire is out and rebuilding can begin. Hope springs anew.

Soon!

Grude morning all! Man, it sure feels good to wake up with a different vibe today. To heck with what the national media says. I think that although there are a few good hires left out there that would be accepted, I still feel that there is only one Grand Slam that would really cap this in a way that leaves all of the folks now poking fun with their mouths on the ground and stunned looks on their faces. And AD Fulmer will be the hero and cement a new chapter in his legacy.

Gruden till it ain’t! And if it ain’t, I’ve got faith in Fulmer to get this right.

IF Coach Fulmer has who he wants already, do you disrupt the SEC Championship game day to announce ??
According to Booger McFarland and Tebow last night, Tennessee is the laughing stock of the nation. Do you make a PR move and say "What about UT now, MF" !!

I'm starting to believe the speculation that Currie was on the West Coast looking for a new landing spot for himself (as opposed to interviewing Leach to come to UT). And that it will form the upcoming basis for being fired with cause. We will see.

I don't think it was anything that blatant, Eze.

I do believe Currie was honestly out there interviewing Mike Leach, in a last-gasp effort to save his job by bringing a coach home.

I do think Bev was insinuating that Currie didn't love Tennessee enough, but that his lack of commitment was more subtle than that: that by not truly being a Volunteer in his bones, he didn't understand the caliber of coach he should be out there looking for. He seems to have thought we were just another Kansas State level power 5 program. Never truly realized that he was the AD of a college football blue blood. So never swung for the fences as he should have.

I think that's what Bev meant in her subtle dig at Currie's commitment.

I don't think that's Phil Fulmer's way. He is a gentleman and a team mate, at several levels. One of those levels is the SEC.

Out of respect for the SEC, I don't think you'll hear Phil make a single peep today. Let the SEC CG be the focus, as it should be. Plenty of time for us to make the news, in a Grude way, later on.

Good morning, everyone!

I'm struck this morning by the fact that Phil will again be the "guard" for the next "quarterback." His confidence yesterday would show any potential coach that he has the kind of strength, swagger, and experience you'd want your AD to have. So proud that Phil is in that spot now.

When we announce Gruden we need to bombard these national media morons who bashed this fan base as being crazy for what we did to poor Shiano, and the others. And tell them we were fed up with being spoon fed S*** for 10 years. It was time to rise up and be the TRUE caretakers of UT Football!!! Make their life a living hell via social media at least for a few days. Basking that we have great coaching staff and we gonna WTFA

This!! If we hire gruden, I can't wait to see the media eat a nice big ol sh*t burger.

Karma can be bad for some and good for others:)

Good morning Vol faithful. I haven't slept that well in over a decade!

It's a beautiful morning for a coaching search, isn't it? Tee's offense sure looked the part last night. Time to bring him home, along with a few other VFL's.

If we can realize the dream of Gruden leading us our recruiting will challenge for #1 annually and the on field product will be dynamic as well. The in-game coaching will be NFL quality too.

Do you all smell that glorious smell? It's what it smells like when a sleeping giant awakens from a 10+ year nap... Go Vols!

He signed a contract, presumably that Currie never executed.

Respectfully, wouldn’t Currie have pulled this contract out at some point when this thing turned ugly. Again, respectfully, I don’t think he was ever offered or even talked with.

If that is the case, what is the real likelihood that it happens now?

I think Phil goes with his comfort zone. 1. Cut 2. Miles

Respectfully, he signed a contract that Currie never executed. This is a fact. You can choose to not accept that, but it is truth.

I agree with this. Let tomorrow be the day! And for the love of all that is Gruden Holy, let it be a boom heard around the world!!

Love the enthusiasm, but a bit hmmm about your simile.

I remember what my teenaged soon used to smell like just after awakening from his overnight sleep...
