Also I believe this hire will be someone we can all get behind. There is no way Fulmer puts his legacy on the line for another Greg Schiano. He knows how important this is for the university and himself.

I think Peyton may be a bit more complicated than that.

I think personally, from his heart, he's standing right beside Phil.

But professionally, from his wallet, he's often cozying up a little closer to Haslam (as well as a bunch of other well-to-do and well-connected people who have nothing to do with this Tennessee in-house tussle).

And astutely, from his grey matter, he's smart enough to keep all of that kind of in doubt and fuzzy.

Peyton's no dummy. He is complicated.

Very long, and a bit incoherent

It's funny, he was saying what a lot of people here are hoping for, but he came in in a really belligerent manner with lots of **** and generally irritated the fire out of everyone.

No idea why he was so pugnacious, but there you go.

His posts are beyond strange. He will go from being prickly and almost belligerent in one post and the next he will sound within a hair's breadth of sounding rational.

Then back to incoherent and prickly.
