Works for me.
If the mou was Friday and Sunday was day to have athletic dept. sign Gruden, then, well, it makes sense that that deal was "lingering" until the crap was flushed down the toilet.
Speaking of math, it's very doubtful you have a 147 IQ. Statically speaking there should be only like 6-8 people posting on this board with that high of an IQ just in pure numbers terms. But then you'd have to account for self-selection to posting in a board like this in the first place in the middle of a work day AND the very fact that most of the population hasn't had an IQ test to accurately measure it.
So again, it's doubtful.

Ok, question...
Was Currie good or bad? Was he trying to do the right thing and hire leach behind Haslam or was it something else? I cant wrap my head around this??
No one is claiming to be smarter than you. I have no inside information. If any thing it's not that I'm smarter than you but I may just be crazy enough to think this far out of the box. It's not a stchich, is a career and a username.
Jeez, stop with the whole engineering schtick. A bunch of people have popped up through this search saying they were engineers. I've known plenty of them, none of them were smarter than me. My freshman roommate turned out to be an engineer. Didn't know what in the world he was doing though. Is barely competent now.
Calm down with the whole I can pass a bunch of math classes agenda. I get it. You want me to think you are smart. I have an IQ of 147, you don't see me bragging about it. Jeez, kills me.
Let's just get this coaching hire right. First and foremost. End of story.

Want to know whether we really have had a "voice" in this change of direction?
Listen to the new AD when introduced this afternoon.
Listen for one specific statement.
...
"Voices" can be as crude and basic as a primal roar, a haunting scream in the night.
Or they can be incredibly communicative, detailed, intricate in the amount of information they pass along.
Which have we been? Have we simply been the primal roar that brought change without fully being understood? Or has the UT administration truly heard our desires, in detail?
...
When the new AD takes the podium, his comments may include words to this effect: "my first order of business in the search for a new head football coach is to contact Jon Gruden and bring him aboard, or force him to say no."
It's simple.
If he says that, he truly heard what we were saying. If he does not, all he heard was our scream in the night.
We'll know in a few hours.
The only thing that matters is that Friday the 24th and Sunday the 26th were true, how we got here, all the previous months of chatter and speculation and promises and prognostications are null and void.
If the reports were the 24 and 26th, then, why wouldn't it still happen, remember nothing from Gruden on radio this week denying or acknowledging situation.
I have to believe at the end there, he was trying to do what the fans wanted, and get a coach they liked.
Sadly it was too late for him to reverse course, he should've started by telling Haslam no for the Schiano hire
