My email to the Chancellor.

You must come down on the right side of this war. The fans know far more than you believe.

Appoint Fulmer or Davis as AD or you will see a protest like you can not imagine unleashed at Gate 21 Tomorrow!

Works for me.

If the mou was Friday and Sunday was day to have athletic dept. sign Gruden, then, well, it makes sense that that deal was "lingering" until the crap was flushed down the toilet.

Right. If you're Gruden, who wants to be everyone's hero, you don't want your hire associated with Schiano deal especially in media.

Easy Charlie, easy man. I know Charlie Kelly is a pretty tightly wound enigma, but, go kill some rats and make sure the basement is tidy. Come back feeling better.

Speaking of math, it's very doubtful you have a 147 IQ. Statically speaking there should be only like 6-8 people posting on this board with that high of an IQ just in pure numbers terms. But then you'd have to account for self-selection to posting in a board like this in the first place in the middle of a work day AND the very fact that most of the population hasn't had an IQ test to accurately measure it.

So again, it's doubtful.

I had to skip a ton...what the heck happened where we are arguing over mathematical equations and IQ scores?

Ok, question...

Was Currie good or bad? Was he trying to do the right thing and hire leach behind Haslam or was it something else? I can’t wrap my head around this??

New email sent, gonna send every 15 mins, tweeting like an SOB right now as well lol

To whom it may concern,

With the recent firing of former Athletic Director John Curry, please know that the University supporters are now looking to you to lead the way to a brighter future for this great University and the great Athletics Department.

Please do not be influenced by outside factors such as Jimmy Haslam. Show him and any others that appear to control the University with iron fist that you will not be pushed around.

Do what's right, look to former Vols for guidance, Phil Fulmer, David Blackburn, Charles Davis, all great former Vols who would put the best interest in all the student-athletes to the front. Allow them to guide you into a resurgence in UT athletics. This athletics department has a rich history, from Gen. Robert Neyland, all the way to Phil Fulmer. Also don't forget about how influential Pat Summit was to women's athletics as a whole in this country. Be the guiding light that his once proud University used to be.

I'm just a humble fan and supporter of this great University. Please do not allow the Haslams to continue to control this University as if it were their own personal toy.

Thank you for your time,

My favorite part is at the 5:30 mark when they gave their coach a Gatorade bath.

Some one help me out here. When was the last time you saw a 5-7 Tennessee Team give a coach a Gatorade bath?

Only in Vandy!!

That is the level of complacency we will never have and is why we have been so irate and making headlines as fans all week.

GBO!!!!!!!!!

I have to believe at the end there, he was trying to do what the fans wanted, and get a coach they liked.

Sadly it was too late for him to reverse course, he should've started by telling Haslam no for the Schiano hire

No one is claiming to be smarter than you. I have no inside information. If any thing it's not that I'm smarter than you but I may just be crazy enough to think this far out of the box. It's not a stchich, is a career and a username.

Not attacking you man. I actually belive a lot of the Gruden stuff. Didn't mean to offend you my friend. Just saw that was a common narrative, completely my fault.

Jeez, stop with the whole engineering schtick. A bunch of people have popped up through this search saying they were engineers. I've known plenty of them, none of them were smarter than me. My freshman roommate turned out to be an engineer. Didn't know what in the world he was doing though. Is barely competent now.

Calm down with the whole I can pass a bunch of math classes agenda. I get it. You want me to think you are smart. I have an IQ of 147, you don't see me bragging about it. Jeez, kills me.

Let's just get this coaching hire right. First and foremost. End of story.

*shtick

Wow, my IQ is 152. How many of us are there in here?

Want to know whether we really have had a "voice" in this change of direction?

Listen to the new AD when introduced this afternoon.

Listen for one specific statement.

...

"Voices" can be as crude and basic as a primal roar, a haunting scream in the night.

Or they can be incredibly communicative, detailed, intricate in the amount of information they pass along.

Which have we been? Have we simply been the primal roar that brought change without fully being understood? Or has the UT administration truly heard our desires, in detail?

...

When the new AD takes the podium, his comments may include words to this effect: "my first order of business in the search for a new head football coach is to contact Jon Gruden and bring him aboard, or force him to say no."

It's simple.

If he says that, he truly heard what we were saying. If he does not, all he heard was our scream in the night.

We'll know in a few hours.

JP, I'm not sure the press conference is to announce a new AD. I think it's to save face at this point.

The only thing that matters is that Friday the 24th and Sunday the 26th were true, how we got here, all the previous months of chatter and speculation and promises and prognostications are null and void.

If the reports were the 24 and 26th, then, why wouldn't it still happen, remember nothing from Gruden on radio this week denying or acknowledging situation.

Yes. And if Currie wanted to keep his job and had the chance why wouldn't he publicly interview and hire Gruden? Because gruden has always had the job..

So Currie was trying to do the right thing, gets fired, with pressure to the chancellor from Haslam, and is they are trying to appoint another yes man??
