I know we talked about this yesterday suave I still hold firm that he is on the good side.
Here's my opinion: he was the catalyst that allowed haslam to move forward on schiano.
He purposely gave his "ok" and blessing as the ruse that allowed the HOH to hang itself, it was the rope around haslam's neck.
Think about the published reports about his dislike for schiano, the articles and articles stating such.
He got 2 birds with one "ok".
I believe Manning knew full well he would take black eye after black eye and ridicule and hate, and he was ok falling on that sword to achieve what we are hopefully about to see.
This was a post of mine from yesterday;
Haslam: napoleanesque egomaniac, predictable, is known quantity and reinforced by happenings of 2012
Currie: wildcard, stooge, all schiano, no other list
Our beloved, give blessing, oks schiano willing to take the black eye publicly, he is the game changer
So, we have a known predictable Haslam, and the wildcad stooge Currie, on the word of our beloved and go after schiano
game theory and probability suggest that the likelihood of haslam trying to do as he wishes is real good, just unreal to believe he is so brazen and egotistical that he believes he can do what he wanted and he was too predictable as he tried to do the exact same thing, heres some rope.
The ok or blessing just feeds into his brain that he can do this, and is reinforced in his head by the blessing. More rope.
Why would someone who by all accounts loves this university, doesn't need the Haslams to get anything for a NFL job, who by accounts disliked schiano, and by all accounts true to his character would be willing to take the black eyes and criticisms of being a traitor....because he was raised as was his dad from the words of Archie's father in the 30 for 30, "just want to be a good guy"....do you side on the thought of what we know of our beloved or not?
If so, our boy was willing to take the heat for the greater good, because all indications are and have been he is a UT man through and through, and by him doing what he did I believe he is and it was for the greater good, gave haslam the final push to have the rope to hang himself.
much more to the character of Manning than what we have seen being said.....
Hey, I'm open to the idea as more than possible and plausible. I put no man on a pedestal and know man is fallible.
