what now beav...if blackburn is out and fulmer is not a option...will davis be behind a gruden hire or are we to late for that?
Just trying to figure out what to tweet.
Being told:
Currie, lobbying for his job, went after Leach on his own accord. Fulmer was out of the mix, both ways. Neither for or against. It was all Currie.
Currie drafted an MOU on his own accord. Currie leaked the info for Leach himself to save his rear via Haslam. Haslam has said NO to Leach from the beginning. Haslam demanded Currie be relieved of duties no matter of his buyout via Davenport. Davenport marched the order.
NOW Davenport is moving Fulmer to AD. HASLAM IS LOSING HIS MIND. This was not approved via Haslam. Changing of the guard if you will. Haslam had someone else lined up (not sure who).
Haslam has opened Pandora's box on himself and will be, per say, beheaded from this process.
Moving Forward:
The expectation is that Fulmer is going to "pull a F***ing rabbit out of his hat", I quote. Look for Cutcliffe, Tee, Miles, to be in the conversations heavily going forward.
I am confused as well. PV was on here just days ago telling us all that Haslam was not the problem and didn't want to hurt UT. Now he's telling us to fight...fight who?
Not angry at all, TastyCar. Curious, certainly. A bit skeptical. Bemused. Doubtful. But mostly, curious.
Either someone is driving this train, or no one is (beyond Sara, who is wonderful at organizing gatherings and bringing communications from the ether world into the real world).
I'd just like to know which.
And if it is "someone," particularly someone who is behind the scenes, I'd like to know what their motivation is, what THEIR ultimate goal is, and whether that aligns with ours for the good of the program.
And beyond that, I'd love to hear a little detail about how they plan to get there, as a way of judging their competence to get us there.
So yeah, mostly curious. Not angry at all, not disappointed in anyone, just curious and a bit skeptical.
How are you doing with all of it?
The objective is an independent AD that does not bow to the House of Haslam. Period. It doesn't really matter who the coach ends up being. We must ensure that a permanent AD whose blood runs orange is in place. That will lead to the return of excellence for the Athletic department, which is what this has always been about. Gruden, and these threads, has always been about not settling for mediocrity anymore.
