all righty then, another round of emails sent.
To Whom It May Concern,
I'm a simple man, and as such, I'll keep this short and to the point. As a lifelong Vol fan and supporter, I am embarrassed by this whole coaching search. The fans haven't embarrassed UT, the administration has, particularly Currie and Haslam (who is in administration by proxie).
That said, I can't understand what's so hard about somebody standing up to Haslam, and telling him, "I'm not gonna do what you tell me, I'm gonna do what's best." I don't understand why someone can't tell him, "Thank you for your generosity, and all you've done for the University, but we're going to go in a different direction."
You're about to lose, either Haslam's money, or the money from other boosters and the financial gain from the fan base, via tickets and UT gear and apparel. YOU DON'T NEED HIS MONEY, and if you're not addicted to his money, he doesn't have the influence to run the AD and embarrass the University.
Fire Currie.
Hire Blackburn.
Let him conduct the search, and watch us land a great coach who would make the fans happy, the University proud, and the football program relevant again!
Thank you for taking the time to consider my opinion,
---- Webb
