Remember when Currie delivered the presser about Butchs firing? Did Currie not say he had to have a coach by a certain date or we would have a new AD? I may be wrong here but anyone remember what date that was?

He "allegedly" told a recruit he would have someone by the 19th of December.

And all signs point to that someone in his dumbass head to be Schiano.

Gruden is not going to announce interest in the UT job while Currie is AD.

And he's not going to publicly call for or imply that he would have interest if only John Currie was fired.

He's going to keep his mouth shut, like he has done, speak quietly behind the scenes to people he trusts, and let things unfold.

Zero chance of Gruden with Currie still AD. This is why I have serious question about deerhunter. If he has a source in Haslam's camp that says Haslam is legit trying to get Gruden here...well, let's just say deerhunter may buy that, but Jon Gruden does not.

With Currie gone, next step must be Blackburn. I believe Blackburn as AD gives a real chance for Gruden to come.

No percentages, nothing like that. Blackburn gives a real chance at Gruden. But first things first.

I think Blackburn would be a good replacement for Currie, but I think Fulmer would be FAR better. No one could unite the fan base, garner support for the new coach, and give a new coach more confidence in support of the university than Fulmer. Fulmer is the right hire at this point in time. Blackburn as assistant AD (AD in waiting).

What really pisses me off about the whole thing is that Currie hasn’t communicated with the fans. Since he announced Butch being fired he has only released one statement and that was after the Schiano debacle. Am I right on that? That’s just poor business skills. After all, we are the ones spending money on the product he’s supposed to be promoting. But it’s nothing but silence from the Currie camp.
