It is hard to believe, but, for the love of all that is Holy, make it not so! Please be legit, if he is I'll wire some nice compensatory rewards, like, a good bit! Deerhunter, you looking for some extra Holiday loot? Or, just in the fight for the cause, cus that's a little better deal for me really, get Gruden and spend my own money celebrating!

If i could get him personally, I promise you, I would. But alas, I'm just a man who works for a living around here. N Yet I can still hold my head high. For I am a canary in the coal mine. I am to be Revered around here one day for my accurate depiction of a more hopeful future. That's all I've got. but to me, it's a lot.

and yeah, sure I'll take your money too:good!:

Just received a text from a mid-level booster friend. He's good buddies with one of Chavis's really good friends. Apparently a Sumlin+Chief package deal is in the works and is as good as done.

Trying to currently get more precise information on the status of the negotiation as well as the rest of the AD's reaction/activity related to it...

Seriously?

Please tell me this isn’t really happening

About what exactly? This is now a multi-project issue. I think we could still get the white whale. In fact, I'm still 98% that we HAD the white whale. I now believe we get him only if Blackburn is AD.

How confident are you he will veto anything Currie brings and is currently vetoing currie

I hope not, people with the memories of crap will accept, or over emotionally panicked people, there is a reason Chavis left town, and a reason he was being chased out of Aggieland. I'll take the first option, then second is T and Steele with a different head man.

Very good little known Police song. Canary In A Coal mine.

This has been asked a lot. Speculation I think is that the buyout is the holdup. Maybe they are trying to find a way to fire him with cause to avoid it or to see if he steps down.

They can fire him with cause if he didnt let the president and Davenport
know that he gt MOU signed by Schiano

How do they not have cause to fire Currie by now? He has literally written the book on how to jack up a coaching search, started a booster war, and has students getting slammed to the ground. If that isn’t cause for firing with cause what is?

I have the utmost respect for you. But, if DiPietro will veto any hire Currie brings, why doesn't he just fire the S.O.B. and put Fulmer or Blackburn in charge of the hire? What am I missing?

I think he is letting Currie absolutely kill his own career. Consider it repayment for the lies and betrayal that led us to this point.

Currie chose to do the bidding of Haslam to the detriment of his actual employer, the University. Thus doth the University repay his treachery.

JMO.

It is interesting back when the Grumors were strong that Gruden getting hired at the SEC championship would create the maximum publicity. If they announce Gruden on Friday or Saturday after this last week...

I wonder if Sankey would put the brakes on that?
