It feels like we just fought a 3 day siege off and now a quick truce has been called for each side to collect their dead and tend to the wounded. The gunfire will inevitably start up again.

Both sides need to go back to Brohm and attempt to fine tune that deal. 6-6 in his 1st year ain't that bad against some pretty stiff competition.

TN interviewed Sumlin in 2010 and hired Dooley. What has changed since then? Im predicting he will “turn us down”. Common denominator: Haslam.

I'm afraid I can't add much more, I work on Campus, as does my wife, who is in the Athletic Department as well as her sister. My childhood best friend is tight with the Haslams. our daughters played hoops here. we are VFL for sure.

This same news comes separately from both my friend in the Haslam camp and my sister in Law, who works closer to the AD than my wife does. Supposedly i't's major damage control level panic over there (of course is should be) and they know the only way to save everybody's skin is bring in Gruden. They're ponying up the money, but it's A LOT. like unprecedented, **** up the entire price structure on coaching-type money. They are also careful not to leave themselves open to another Kiffin jilt, so they want to be mindful of his contract while backing up the brinks truck. that's about all I know

yep sounds like bs

Further more!..he never said no😁

I think you are confused on what I’m referencing. Our stand, truly, started the moment Schiano’s name was mentioned. I apologize, I assumed that was apparent. Since then, we’ve won every battle. Do you not feel that way?

Well, you will speak from your own perspective, certainly. I must speak from mine.

For me, this did not start at Schiano. This started the day Butch was fired and Currie initiated the coaching search.

From that point on, on a scale of 1 to 10 of possible outcomes, I'd have to rate "Gruden named head coach" a 10, Patterson or Peterson a 9, sprinkle in several 8s, 7s, and 6s, and then things start looking dark.

We're down around the 2-4 level right now, and the only reason it's not a 1 is because there might be some long term benefit to these efforts.

So no, I do not feel that we've "won every battle." I feel that we're trying to get a little chicken salad out of a chicken **** circumstance.

Don't let me rain on the victory parade, though. :hi:

I believe DiPietro will veto any hire Currie brings back for a signature.

Don't get distracted by who we are going to hire when the people trying to hire are snakes.

I have the utmost respect for you. But, if DiPietro will veto any hire Currie brings, why doesn't he just fire the S.O.B. and put Fulmer or Blackburn in charge of the hire? What am I missing?
