So what's the possibility that this whole thing was planned and he was alll along gonna ask gruden but he was gonna ask him last to make it look like no one wanted it ,but he's buying himself time for gruden?

Agree. These attempted hires simply don't pass the sniff test. If someone gets close it gets nixed at the last moment. I think the same will happen with Doeren. My tin hat says something deeper is going that I can't get my head around. I can only hope it's part of a "fire before hire" effort to get rid of Currie and limit HOH influence. If so, there is hope for the immediate and long term future. If not, I may not see another Vol championship at any level or sport.

I'll accept it however it was the dumbest idea I've ever heard of........would've been better off not doing a damn thing for 3 weeks. :)

What if...

We know Gruden has very good relationships with many college football coaches. What if every coach that has been "offered"is really being courted as a way to get pay raises from each of their respective schools in an elaborate plan to get all his coaching friends paid more money and then... BOOM! Gruden comes to save UT!

That would require them to do math and judging by the way they have handled coaching searches/hires I believe they are not good at math. Just sayin’ :)

The Haslam narrative was the difficult one for me as 2012 too many conflicting reports about what he was and did.

even now, the reports were of use of his plane, but, I am taking the simplest of explanations, decide from history who he is and how he operates. Assume nothing, use what we know.

The conspiracy goes too deep to include haslam and currie as the more moving parts to conceal and otherwise use, causes many more possible outcomes.

We know that Haslam is who he is, from reported historical information. Take that, and make your assumptions on how he, and Currie fit into this.
