Just because you’re not hearing from “Atlanta_Vol” doesn’t mean his voice isn’t getting heard. They have a lot of work to do. The fact that any of them are able to get some messages to us is impressive and we should be thankful for that. Like I said yesterday many are using one account and one account only. There’s a reason for that.

What message ? The ones we already know but are complete opinion? These guys don't know anything more than me or you. How wrong have they been?

Atl is a prominent booster. Six figures a year and has a good allotment of season tickets. His dad was also a booster and started i think three business in knoxville years ago. Atl has even loaned his aircraft to ut for fund raising use.

What if Currie is the only one that went rougue? Maybe he didn't like being told who he had to hire and maybe Haslam and the rest of the boosters were on the same page like we were told and Currie acted alone thinking he had Bev's support but the boosters got to Bev and now she is not going to approve anyone Currie brings to her while the boosters give JG the time he needs....sounds stupid I know but nothing else makes sense.:loco:

That doesn't add up. Haslam wanted Schiano for the Browns a while back, no reason to think he didn't orchestrate this. he probably hired Currie because Currie wanted Schiano to come to K. State. Haslam installed a guy who wanted the same coach. That's how it looks to me based on things I have read, some of which may not be true.

Here it is for me Guys.............

1) My guy who has not been wrong in the last three hires told me a couple of days ago that Gruden deal was NOT going to happen

2) The people who said they were confident and refused to tell us why are gone and took their hope and confidence with them

3) The fact we still have Currie as AD says we will never hire Gruden

4) The fact that this University is a cluster and No one including Gruden would ever come here says we are sunk....

BUT........... If you commit to something, you NEVER loose unless YOU give up, I refuse to quit until someone is announced .... I came here to win to help the Vols come back to National prominence and to see Gruden hired as our head coach!

Now who is with me?????

Lets saddle up!!

That's pretty cool!...post more often 😁

Chancellor Davenport and all that are involved in enabling this disaster and allowed Gruden to get away. This is s picture of Andy Kelly and me on the field in South Bend after the Miracle at South Bend. Greatest Father son weekend I ever had with my Dad. I post this so you understand how long I have been part of Volnation. I I also took my son to many games. He met Peyton a couple of times. Joyful times of the past. I am disgusted disheartened angry bitter sad and even more upset for my 2 year old grandson who will ,if you let Currie stay and allow this tyrant come from NC State, or any other inferior coach, will never get to experience the spectacle and joy of a Gameday in Knoxville for his first game will be at my wife’s favorite school Auburn. And that school will also receive our donations , tix tailgates and memories for our family. You all should be put in jail for destruction of an institution . Goodbye

Funny that if you throw a rock in a pack of dogs who barks

Got something to say? I'm always here...but with the current situation in the AD, there is just not much to say. We have a crisis of leadership that has to be fixed before the coaching matter even needs to be addressed.

It's funny how the boards resident doubting Thomas has become Richard the Lionhearted when he thinks nobody is around. You've been a wilting violet this whole time with your "Grudenometer" reading updated multiple times daily, until now, when we have an obvious issue of leadership. All of a suddenly you've painted your face Orange and are rallying the troops.

You have accusations, level 'em. Or...continue being passive aggressive. Seems more your style.

You may be right. I am just trying to make some sense out of all this.

I know this will not be popular but Ainge is really pushing for fans to lay off social media, especially twitter for now. Coaching candidates are beginning to refuse taking calls due to fans per Ainge and Rice. They have talked to coaches who have said there is no amount of money they could be paid to come here, not because of admin but because of fans. It is one thing to push the admin it is another to disparage the university to potential coaches and be rude to them as coaches. Just passing the info along. Do whatever you want. GBO!

I already gave my opinion on this and most didn't like it. Ainge is exactly right. Emailing the admin is one thing. Even tweeting if you do it somewhat respectfully. But tweeting coaches is just as bad as tweeting players imo. That and the content of the tweets being sent. It's one thing to voice your opinion, it's another to act like a spoiled bratty kid, cussing and raising hell. JMO of course.

I have nothing concrete to substantiate that this is what Exile was talking about. However, we do have his words and Knuck's remarks, and it is one of two things: Peyton's allegiance to Haslam (which I've doubted and most certainly ruled out from the get go) or this newly released Gruden MOU news. I'll take it it's the latter.

Or both.

Perhaps your guy is a Haslam-ite and knew the fix was in.

iamadoc, thanks for this. Especially the do whatever you want statement. Of course the candidates are refusing to take calls. Ainge can blame the fans but the problem remains with the administration. Hate this has become a media circus but that is on Currie, Davenport and DiPietro.

I am just saying there are several who posted in here every day but all of a sudden they are gone.... you do the math :hi:

Coasty:

Don't know if you're including me in this group. Hope youre not. I was traveling all day yesterday and trying to keep up by posting voice to text. Involved in work-related activities, so my posting has been limited here. But I've been tweeting and emailing, same as many here.

I said before I wasn't leaving VN. I meant it. I'm here until there's a new coach at the podium. If it's a Currie coach, I'm done with the program. If we have a new AD hire, then I feel I can continue to be a fan of this program I love.

Please be careful what you imply about why people don't post. You don't have a window into their lives to know what other things are happening to keep them from posting here.

Thank you, my friend.

Go on😁 Do I pay enough attention or no

He’s a fairly significant booster who lends planes for university travel. He has some knowledge of the workings of the search because of that.

Atlanta Vol has given very little actual detail. Lots of what he said goes thru the telephone game and misconstrued.

Example: AV validated Beav’s information.

In fact, he did not. He said Beav appears to be connected because the golf courses he plays are ones you don’t just hop on as an average dude. He and Beav connected on twitter. Says Beav is probably connected.

But the people that think AV as a significant booster validates what beav said are wrong.

Got this canned response from an email I sent his morning:

Dear (my name),

Thank you for your recent email. You are an important member of the UT family and your feedback is appreciated. UT enjoys a rich history and we are fortunate to have such loyal and dedicated alumni and friends who care so deeply about the university. As we receive comments from alumni and friends, this information is routinely shared with key members of the UT administration. This process ensures your voice is heard. Our office will remain focused on working with you to advance UT and enrich the lives of our students and alumni.

Sincerely,
Lee

Hey Boro, funny how quick people turn on their own. Always appreciate what you and everyone brings, even though you made no predictions.

It's par for the course. I suffered much worse at the hands of people I had a lot more respect for in 2012. I think I'll get through this

Thanks.

Tweeting a coach and cussing him doesn't even compute as an option.
