So do we think as each Coaching name that comes out as being talked to by UT. You think the boosters are making calls telling them they will pull funds? And that is why there is no hires being made?

Peyton is calling them.

Why do you think the media can get away with saying that he has talked to each one?

I can promise you that he called Butch Jones in 2012 and suggested he take the Colorado job.

Guys, I’ve gone to at least one UT football game since I was 6 years old. That’s 26 years of loving to support this university and its football team.

I was there for Peyton’s first start. I was there when Witten caught the game winner in overtime against Arkansas and when Casey fumbled on the one yard line against UGA. I was there when Brent Schaefer and Erik Ainge wore out UNLV. I was there when Jamarcus Russell drove LSU down to beat us in the closing seconds (and had a dude run into the back of my car afterwards.) I was there when we crushed Cal. I was there for Camp Kiffin. I would have been there for Bryce Brown’s presser. I was there when Bray throat slashed UNC and Dooley thought we won. I was there every freaking time we checkered Neyland. I was there for the Battle at Bristol. I was at Athens for the Hail Mary and Atlanta for our one decent win this season.

If we hire the likes of Doeren, I won’t be there.

In case anyone missed this last night:

This seems to contradict what JAV has said in the past, is his source lying now or was he lying then. Or has his source changed. This also does not line up with what Atlanta Vol said, AV was pretty confident after Wednesday/Thursday night in Tampa.
Maybe I'm misremembering.

I do think the DiPietro and Davenport have been told not to sign anything coming from Currie. But Haslam will no doubt try to force their hand.

It's so disheartening that such influential folks are afraid of success. What was Haslam's relationship with Fulmer 20 years ago?

If they let Currie make this hire I will in no way support this mess any longer. 30 years of giving my all, which is nothing compared to some, will be over. This sickens me and I believe our voice and monetary cuts can win out of we stand together.

I don’t understand something. If I’m Currie and I am the most hated person in Tennessee and my career is probably in the can anyway, why wouldn’t I go out with a bang and camp on Gruden’s doorstep like the Bama AD did, and make Gruden publicly tell me no. Supposedly if he gets turned down again, he’s gone, so if I’m him, I get turned down by the biggest there is. And I do it publicly.

It's not Gruden that doesn't want to work for Currie and Haslam as well.

This whole thing is whacky and unreal. So, why not assume that maybe, just maybe, the thought of Gruden is just as possible as this whole ordeal.

Go back 1 week, could anyone predict the sh** storm we have seen since Sunday. NO. The only thing that might make sense is knowing, from we have seen since Sunday, that Currie has been exposed and volnation has lost it's mind with anger and disgust and for whatever reason we keep striking out and woooooooh is us, and we have MOU not signed and deals made and then squashed and the one and only Hyamm's reporting done deal.....

As much as I don't want to be that guy I think I am now.

Morning all. I was wondering something as I drove to work this morning. How do we support the kids out there busting it playing football, basketball, etc but still shun the university? By listening on the radio? By going to the Vol walk and giving encouragement then staying outside? I really don't know. But the athletes don't deserve to be shunned just because administration is garbage.

Why is Joe/Bev still allowing Currie to conduct a search? Why on earth would they think that Doeren would be a good fit here? And why would any coach want to come here right now knowing you're working for a lame duck AD.

Hopefully, this, the ultimate trump card, is on the side of VN and the fans. Though I thought Brohm would have been solid.

phil had all the leverage 20 years ago. Im convinced haslem snaked his way into hamiltons ear to get phil fired and to shift the power.

Help them transfer away.

Scorched earth policy.

If that were my son and we fired Butch Jones and hired Doeren who has nearly an identical record (overall and conference) as Jones, I would 100% encourage him to find a new home.
