I’m afraid we have just hired Dave Doren(sp). It’s been real Vol brothers and sisters. I will see you in a few years. At least I can go to Purdue games and root for them in the meantime. Sad day. I just can’t believe this is happening.

We had a good day, bottle the excitement though. We battle again tomorrow. They won't rest, we won't rest. We will win this, but only if keep up the fight.

Sharing what I've learned through sources

-NC State is offering Doeren 5 years, 3 million per year. So the fifth year has been added. State also gave $750,000 to add to pool for assistant coaches and will guarantee contracts up to three years. That's a big deal for assistants.

-hearing Tennessee is offering 4.5 million per year for five years. I'm told Tennessee AD was in Raleigh today.

-I'm told Doeren will sleep on it and decide tomorrow. I'm guessing something should come by lunch.

-my personal feeling (despite disparity in numbers I've been told) is Doeren will stay. Maybe I'm just looking at it from glass half full perspective. Bottom line- Tennessee fans don't support the hire. State fans (for the most part) want him to stay.

As always, things are fluid and will report if anything changes. I think Cory picked up on some stuff at game and will share what he's heard once he gets home from game.

I don’t believe it for a second. I just wanted to see how far Deerpark would go. I’ve been lurking for a long time and I know who the people are that I trust with info!

Just remember guys. Don't get caught up on the grumors again.

There is a reason we are hearing from reputable sources that NC State coach is being interviewed.

If Currie had Gruden, he wouldn't be talking to the NC State coach.

I realize you don't realize who I am, but if you're going to be such a dickhole about it, I'll challenge your ass. This is LEGIT! I'm calling my shot. Gruden will be your coach and deer hunter will be a legend like the mailman in few days time:good!:

Something sure seems fishy with this whole search. How are you going to offer Gundy 7 mil, then go after the NC st coach.

Nice try Currie. But we won't be turning the pressure off anytime soon. I swear if we hire Doeren, Sunday will have looked like a PTA meeting for what will come next!!!!!
