This is classic evolution based on emotion. "Beaver" went through a calm/cool/collected 'state' where he was able to articulate things well; hell, he was even able to be cryptic. Then his tone began to change and he began making threatening tweets. At this point, he realized he had to change personas to one that would not jeopardize his "Beaver" persona. It's likely that "Skeeter" just happened to be his old persona. The timing of it and the similarities between the sudden shift are just too coincidental.
