LEO opinion, with the disclaimer that video does not always show the "El Grande Mosaic", and no audio, so...
It's very common when leading someone from behind with a wrist lock (which is what it looked like) for them to bend forward to relieve pressure and/or try to work out of it. No way to tell which it was, but if you know the right way to do a wrist lock, then you should also know to just ride it forward if they do that, and let them work themselves to the ground. Body slams are a way of taking a standing fight to the ground, and are widely considered to be a "stun" move, in that if you do it right, you land on top of the actively resisting subject.
WWE move was excessive, IMO. But I wasn't there.
