How are you going to sleep tonight. Your posts let me know you are fired up...I know I probably won't catch a wink.

I am pumped. I'm thinking it's a good thing I'm 500 miles from Knoxville right now. I would march the Hill until it was worn flat, and then end up in the federal penitentiary.

Have you ever taken a beloved family pet to the vet?? They hate it and fight you every step of the way.

However, you know it's better for them (and you) in the long run.

That's what's happening here. Unfortunately, it's not as easy as stuffing Fluffy in a carrier and away you go.

This is real. This is big. And it has real long-term repercussions.

The only way to remove a cancer is to burn it out. Haslam has to go!
It's a complete conflict of interest that his brother is the GOVERNOR of the state.

The only way to win is to out Currie and get Haslam out of the big decisions. Until UT solves that problem there is a problem. Whatever has to happen for that to happen, that's where we are at. It's no way to keep the fan base going in the direction the administration has been taking us. GBO ALWAYS! FIRE CURRIE!

Dear (insert name here),

Please be advised by this email that all support from our family, both academic and athletic, is withdrawn from The University of Tennessee until such time as John Currie is removed from his position as athletic director of The University of Tennessee.
This position is taken with bias due to Mr. Currie's demonstrated incompetence with blatant disregard for diligent and professional responsibilities due the common interest as athletic director to the University.
It is with great regret that our family will withdraw support started by my father in 1962. We are also recommending fellow donors seriously consider immediate cessation of all donations. We will certainly reconsider after the termination.

Sincerely,

Started a thread The point of no return

If you have ideas on how we can create change or want to organize efforts please drop in.

First let me just say I’m proud to be a Tennessee Vol. Let’s not let them take our pride, it’s all we currently have.
I have went back and forth since Sunday struggling with the idea of the current efforts to impart change on the Hill. At this point it doesn’t really matter. We are WAY past the point of backing down now. What else can the media say? What other coach can turn us down? We are here, let’s fight!!!! Yeah, maybe some of you regret punching the bully in the mouth, but maybe he will back down if you don’t. If he doesn’t, well then you keep your pride and go down swinging. Let’s go VOLS, put on more steam!!!!

exactly coasty.. I mean just how long did they think it would last before this actually happened. I strongly feel us Vol fans have been pretty patient, majority of us did give Butch a chance, and have laid relatively quiet the last few years. but enough is enough, I honestly can't believe the AD and especially the media couldn't see this coming. you back something whether that be a wild animal, a single person, or an entire fan base far enough into a corner eventually they're coming out swinging. it just blows my mind..

They think we are lemmings. And the media is focusing on the result, not the cause. Not a single TV commentator has mentioned how difunctional the UT AD has been since 2006. All they say is the UT job is not as attractive as UT fans think. Bama wasn't too attractive after DuBose, Fran, Price and Shula, either, and they did alright with their next hire. So can UT. We, like Bama fans, just have to demand it.

You have it.... See the bolded.

We gave Kiffin a chance...... He screwed us. Why people want him back is beyond me.

We gave 'em a SECOND chance. We got Dooley.

We gave 'em a THIRD chance..... We got Butch (I'll admit looked good for a while, thanks Dobbs).

Now they're trying to force <insert coach's name here>....

NO. MORE.

No chance Gruden will come here after the fiasco Sunday, doesn’t matter who is AD or brinks trucks backing up to his door. I applaud our fan base for the outrage but it has really hurt our chances with any top coach for a while

We haven't had a top coach in ten freaking years! How is this going to hurt!

For those who are Shrinking violets tonight and having heart attacks at what is happening, did you really think that we would be able to remove this cancer easy without a war.. The Haslam tree has deep roots and it will require the lawn to be filled in with top soil and reseeded once it is finally uprooted because of the hole it will leave...

Oh but once you view the new lawn you will truly see it was worth it

How in the word could Currie even show his face after this week? I wouldn’t WANT to work anywhere knowing I’d be hated. Especially knowing my career is attached to this hire.

If you've been listening to or watching local, regional, or national media the past week, UT has become a punching bag for their mishandling of...well, everything.

And it's about to get worse.
I have been and it's a wonder I still have a big screen TV but in a year who's gonna really care when We are on our way back to our rightful place after all these years. Some of us will be blind, crippled and crazy inn10 more years. This is just as much for our grandchildren and other little VOLS to come as it is for us. God made dirt and dirt don't hurt....we getting dirty but we will clean it up !!

Still doesn't justify a full body slam into the concrete.

LEO opinion, with the disclaimer that video does not always show the "El Grande Mosaic", and no audio, so...

It's very common when leading someone from behind with a wrist lock (which is what it looked like) for them to bend forward to relieve pressure and/or try to work out of it. No way to tell which it was, but if you know the right way to do a wrist lock, then you should also know to just ride it forward if they do that, and let them work themselves to the ground. Body slams are a way of taking a standing fight to the ground, and are widely considered to be a "stun" move, in that if you do it right, you land on top of the actively resisting subject.

WWE move was excessive, IMO. But I wasn't there.
