The fanbase needs to play this straightforward and honest. All we want is a good coach with a winning track record. This inner strife can get to the point where there will be no winning side if two sides that should have a common goal can't settle their differences in a gentlemanly manner. I agree it was a lowdown trick to attempt to backdoor the fanbase with GS and it's now 4 days later. Between the 2 sides surely we should be able to work out a candidate by this Sunday afternoon. It would be good to have Currie out of the way.

Even on my worst day with my little brother, and we've had some knock-down drag-out ones, anyone tries to come between me and him and they learn their mistake quick.

So if that's the approach, it's probably a really bad one. And also, at best, a very short-term solution.

I'm surprised at you, 82, thinking that a consummate politician wouldn't hang an insane family member out to dry in the interests of future political gain. :)

And possibly the Schiano deal was from Gruden too, maybe it's a conspiracy to make him look bad in public and they know more about the situation then we do? Or even they were gonna use him to get him a job somewhere like all the raises that have been given out and it backfired. Somethings going on here. Not a single coach that has been offered has been one that wouldn't have taken the money or the job at UT, except for maybe Gundy as hed rather stay where he was at. It seems like a trade-off, you pretend to be interviewed by me, you get a raise and I look like I'm conducting a search. You can't tell me none of these people would want the recognition a Tennessee program brings regardless of the image right now. Anyone that turns this thing around is going to look like a huge hero.

Incidentally, for you guys receiving emails from Lauren Herbstritt, I know her personally, and worked with her over several years on various alumni and fundraising committees. She is one of the good ones. Truly loves UT and all things Big Orange.

Before anyone asks, no, she is not a source of information.

This has one giant smokescreen written all over it. Gruden on Friday! This is giving gruden 7 days to get his staff. Shiano got the Shiano end of the stick tho lol
