Question.

If somehow Currie is fires and the Haslams lose their grip on UT and someone like Blackburn is hired.

Do we still have a shot at a big time coach?

Would they still come here if they saw a power switch and had a respectable AD to work for?

Also, by big time coach I mean Gruden! (Cause Gruden TIL it isn’t!!!)

I'm starting to think the best thing that could happen is an interim for 2018 while we sort it all out. Install Blackburn as AD, clean up the dysfunction, boot the Haslams...and be the first in line in 2018 to make a good solid hire.

Doeren hasn't signed. NCState is fighting to keep him. Media figures are going public with details of Haslam/Currie treachery. VolNation is LOUD and getting louder.

I'll suggest it: YES/ TRUE. Just my opinion, based on the following:

1. Knuck was torn up the other day over something he knew but would not disclose. People lit him up over it.

2. Exile cam to Knuck's defense, and said repeatedly that he couldn't release the info, but that the people that could use had it. People lit him up for it.

Exile, Knuck, is this what had ya'll so torn up? If so, it seems like the source for such knowledge would have to be an attorney involved, and with such a small number with access to this if it really happened, I understand the inability to release it and thus out the source.

3. If there is a document out there that has JG's signature on it, the only ones that can really release it publicly is Gruden or UT. If someone else did, it would be an attorney or someone else that was involved, and someone like that releasing it would violate attorney/client privilege. Whoever did so could get disbarred- lose their job, their law license, etc.

4. Everyone just keep up the pressure: email, tweet, call, we have to prevent a hire from being made while the the heavy hitters do their thing.

No doubt he deserves a phone call. For me though, it would be hard to get behind him at this point with the Gruden rumors. If the fans can get closure there, then we could all move on.

Don't disagree at all....point was simply if you're having a REAL search, his resume alone gets him an interview.

We're obviously not however, so it's a moot point.

This is not a losing effort. Currie is disgraced on a national scale, and has failed in his orders from Haslam to install a weak coach.

We are winning. Put on more steam.

So, let’s get this straight:

You fire a coach for failing to meet expectations.

And you replace him with a coach with a worse performance...and in a lower conference.

You can’t make this stuff up. The level of ineptitude of the administration is astounding.
