The people on Volquest have simply gone bats**t crazy. Threads ranging from gofundme requests for Hugh freeze hookers, another run at Gruden, hire freeze/Schiano as coordinators, on and on. In the words of Vince Lombardi(maybe he can still coach),

Yeah, I’ve been out honestly. Trying to find excitement about the potentials. Really surprised at people’s reactions to differences of opinions and the hostile attitudes that’s become a huge part of this thread. Didn’t use to be like that, I guess Gruden is the only unifying candidate.

Honey, no offense but that’s why it’s called the Gruden Thread. Everyone is so battle worn and tired from fighting trolls and the coaching search. While you seem to be out on Gruden, others aren’t. So, they don’t want to discuss other candidates if they feel there’s a glimmer of hope.

I am not sure on the deadline. All I am telling you is that there was a counter. Not sure what I‎t is or when, but finding out that it’s not dead yet. Just here to report simply from what I hear.

Gruden was and is my 1st choice, but Pruit is a big time hire. He can get it done in recruiting and maybe more importantly he played a big role in player development at Alabama. Player freaking development guys. He is a good backup plan to Gruden. If either are announced we should celebrate. It could be exciting on Rocky Top soon. Let’s get on board with this option. Phil knows what he’s doing.
