IMO, Pruitt is the guy, however Alabama is wanting him to stay through the Playoff, which Tennessee doesn’t want at all. They need him to recruit and be here. The other thing is that Pruitt probably wants to bring in his own people, Fulmer wants Tee to come in as OC. Probably why there is still a delay to announce him. Still working out the fine details.

Hiring Pruitt gives me the same feeling in my stomach that Justin Worley gave me when he dropped back to pass. Kinda hopeful but mostly just didn't want an interception.

Definitely not a splash hire in need of a media event.

Its one of two things:

1) Either all the insider information is true. Today was the final deadline. Gruden hasn't said yes or no. So we KEEP dangling names to call his bluff.

OR

2) We're all ****ed in the head, and Jon Gruden wasnt a possibility from day 1.


Doesn't matter what my choice is. "Gruden til it ain't" is why I keep hitting F5. Otherwise I woulda just seen it on my Twitter feed one night. Or just randomly seen the name "Jeremy Pruitt" on the ESPN ticker.
