Let's see, Bev said signed, delivered and it was a done deal. He also said Currie would look like a hero when all was said and done.
We still do not have a coach at the podium. Currie said don't believe anything until HE announces it.
Currie was put on "administrative leave" and Fulmer, born and bread UT hero, was "put" in the AD chair.
There is a mystery candidate out there!
What if Currie is still working for the administration, securing Gruden. Everything else is nothing but smoke.
People are saying players have known for 2 months!
Currie was at PM's ceremony last night.

It's all making sense now!

This is my reality that I am choosing to live in until we formally announce the next head coach. Gruden to the hill, Soon....

Uh no. Hyams > Beaver and its not even close.

Technically, Currie is still employed by UT.

My biggest fear about Fulmer taking over the reigns of AD look like they are being realized.

I know he loves Tennessee, but I've always felt like he would struggle hiring someone that could potentially overshadow his legacy. If Pruitt is the hire, I'll feel even more sure of it.

Roll Damn Vols.

So Phil didn’t even ask Gruden?

Has anyone even taken the time to notice, that while the New York stuff was happening, ALOT of people werent active in this thread who otherwise had been. Now that its the next day some are back.

I mean I know Im a nobody that anyone listens to (until They piss me off) but that bears noticing.

I did - I was on my computer and able to see sign up dates...

Hyams reporting UT may be having second thoughts about going back on Schiano hire.

That should read "Haslam tells Hyams to report that UT may be having second thoughts about going back on Schiano hire."

Fulmer stressed in his presser that we would get a coach that "WANTS TO BE AT TENNESEE.".

I believe he was talking about Gruden. If Gruden wanted to be at UT has been the point. Money, leadership, staff and other issues led Gruden to not want to be here.

Do you think he'll say his name and say he signed?

Not sure I understand Hawk. I think you mean do I believe Trey would tell if he knew? The interesting thing about him saying “nowhere” is that he brought up the mystery candidate himself yesterday as several on here have referenced. So, it interested me that he said we were “nowhere” on it today.

If Trey knew somehow who that candidate was I absolutely believe he would say it because he’s a journalist.

Clearly I have no idea what’s going on with the search. My hope has been for Gruden as you all know and still is. If not him, then I hope it’s an outstanding coach most of us can get behind and that the players will be happy about and support. :)

Hang in there Boro. Keep the faith!!!

Been keeping the faith since about 1979...'bout out'a faith.

I don't need Gruden. I don't need National Championships. I need for the people in charge, to value this program as much as I have since I was a child.

All I wanted was for them to reach a little bit, to try and put us on equal footing with the teams I think we should be competing with. I wanted the Orange Pride re-instilled into the program.....not sure a Bama DC will be able to adequately communicate our history and the Maxim's to new recruits. All of that has been extracted from the program. We put the one guy in charge that I thought would emphasize doing that, and he seems completely disinterested in doing so.

:good!:

Someone needs to do a "Maxims vs the coaching search".

What do you think happened with Miles?

4 million dollars will make numerous people 'want' to be at Tennessee...doesn't make them right.

I go back a little farther than you, but your statement fits me to a T...as in Tennessee. (not bama)
