Has anyone even taken the time to notice, that while the New York stuff was happening, ALOT of people werent active in this thread who otherwise had been. Now that its the next day some are back.

I mean I know Im a nobody that anyone listens to (until They piss me off) but that bears noticing.

Myself at least, knowing I'm not a full time poster, took the day off when it was obvious the leader was Pruitt. Would figure many have done the same as they're exhausted by the search at this point.

Is it old news by now that ESPN bottom line says U.T. and Tee Martin have had extensive talks this morning and the conversation is moving in a very positive direction?

I think we’ve had talks with every coach currently coaching and retired at this point. Hopeful Tee finds his way here.

Yeah, history is repeating itself. But the fans don’t have a say so in who is hired, no matter who the AD is. It’s just as political as the government, so just support whoever is hired.

But the fans have a say in who they support. "Just supporting whoever is hired" is going to continue this cycle and I am not supporting it. Personally, I am tired of spending thousands a season for tickets, parking, concessions, etc to support a joker on the sideline. I love my Vols, but I can watch from the comfort of my home if they don't respect their fan base any more than what has been shown.

I have a problem believing that. If Gruden got Butt Hurt over things in the past he needs to get over it. Changes have been made & we are basically begging him to be the coach with large sums of money. Man up (Gundy) and do your job if you really believe you can, else put it to rest.

I thought it was a slim chance, but at least we were back in the game. Apparently we fumbled it through the end zone.

My biggest fear about Fulmer taking over the reigns of AD look like they are being realized.

I know he loves Tennessee, but I've always felt like he would struggle hiring someone that could potentially overshadow his legacy. If Pruitt is the hire, I'll feel even more sure of it.
