If that's the case, then how could Peyton endorse the Schiano hire as reported by Jimmy Hyams?
I find this interesting. NONE of the big names are saying anything. manning isn't. Gruden isn't. Fulmer isn't. The only people talking are the ones who get paid to do so.
And us hicks.
And? Still wouldn't explain how Currie was wrapping or had wrapped up Schiano while Peyton was talking to a completely different coach not on anyone's radar at the moment.
Finebaum is beyond parody....he essentially became rich by pitting moronic Alabama and Auburn "fans' against each other...and now he's worried.
Suddenly, a fanbase isn't playing its traditional, approved role of lapdog.
The media elites' REAL issue is that the 'customer' here actually made noise and disturbed their pretty little world, where the peasants calmly accept every sh*t sandwich that is fed them, buy the tickets, wear the gear, and act like fools on College GameDay.
When they didn't hear, "Thank you Sir, may I have another?" this time, they panicked. Their fantasy-world is off its axis, and the uppity peasants MUST be put in their place.
Don't they know how this world works?!?!
Perspective; we havent signed the coach I wanted, but my 6-week old is in surgery right now, so in the grand scheme of things that doesnt matter. Thoughts and prayers appreciated.
My hope: hire a Vol, and unite 100% as a fan base around them, win, lose, or draw.

Okay, something I'm not getting. Dots aren't connecting.
Allegedly Peyton called Gundy last week and talked up the Vols. This is according to ESPN which I'm not sure I believe. I think somewhere just above supermarket tabloids is their domain at the moment. However, if true...
If Currie had his man Schiano, why would or how come Peyton is calling another coach to gauge interest when he was all but signed?
Separate paths?
