Official Jon Gruden Thread XLIV

There's no way he'll end up looking like a hero, at least to the people that have really kept up with this and most Vol fans. I would, however, give him a lot of credit if he were to resign and walk away, never to be heard from again.

Currie could wind up a hero in all of this. He could sign a home run coach, publish all the dirt on UT admins and Haslam, then resign.

Dang, that was funny to write.

I understood one of the stipulations for Gruden was Tee coming in as OC - HC in waiting. If Gruden is off the board is Tee still in play as HC? OR is their still a chance Gruden Comes in with Tee as OC

Thank you, I needed that laughter.

I'm here all day. :hi:

But in all seriousness, this is no laughing matter. I have been sick to the pit of my soul over this **** that was foisted on us.

We made it count Sunday, and I won't relent until we have our University like AllState, in good hands!

Not fair to punish our student athletes, who have worked their a$$ off, for the failures of adults in charge.

So what are we doing to the ones on the football field by allowing this administration to continue to punish them.

Alvin Kamara was one of the lucky ones. How many guys had a chance to be a superstar at UT over the past 5 years? We will never know because we have settle for what they have us. A message needs to be sent.

There is absolutely no chance on Gruden if Currie and Haslam are in power. It's as simple as that.

I am starting to think this whole thing is about a grievance between Haslam and Gruden. Haslam is willing to support just about anyone but Jon. Why? He really wanted Schiano and he was on Currie’s pocket list of coaches - hence, the Currie hire. How has Haslam convinced PM to join him? I bet Jon’s initial talks with the boosters stipulated Currie had to go. I think that is what triggered all that has ensued. SFD we need your investigative skills - I think we solve this we get an understanding and then are able to fix the problem.

It pisses me off to see people wanting to settle with second rate hires and say Currie could save face by doing so!

Any hire by Currie is an absolute failure to change power structure away from Haslam.

Complacency got us to where we are now, so cut it out. Currie has to go. No more Haslam hires

I don't care if Currie lands Gruden at this point. He may make a good hire but the fact that he went all in for Schiano disgusts me and he's lost all credibility.

At some point a good portion of people will walk away, but until Currie trots out a new coach, we have hope. Go to the basketball game, support the players, and make an a$$ out of yourself during timeouts and halftime with chants and signs.

The time for not attending is coming, but we aren't there yet.

You’re right, got carried away for a second. Gundy will use UT for another raise.

Hyams likely got leaked the info by HOH to make it look like they are trying really hard before they go out and hire Coach GoogleFail.

Sexton is Gundy's agent

No one is going to coach here unless there the University shows it is making changes. Heck I don't think Hoke would even want to stay at this point. At this point they need to be talking to people that call them...not the other way around. Fire Currie and things change....no one wants to work for that tool!!!

I don't think PM was in on it.

I think that Gruden represents someone else getting their way (the other boosters). I think that's all there is to it.
