Currie may not be at the bball game tomorrow, but you can bet Haslam's smug *** will be there. Maybe the students can start a nice fire Haslam chant for him tomorrow.

For those who can't read embeds, MIT tweeted:
Orange blooded Boosters can produce the funds to make up for Haslam’s removal and get a BIG name coach but they will need help from #VolNation to apply pressure on @UTPresidentJoe and @ChancellorDav to remove both Haslam and Currie. #SaveUT

Agreed, and quite frankly Currie deserves to take none of the credit at this point.

Currie sucks, and it would appall me that he may look like a hero in all this.

Currie can't close an automatic door, he sure as hell ain't closing this deal.

Also student section should be full tomorrow night at the basketball game with lots of signs and chants. Just make it miserable for Currie/Haslam.

Well, if there's any good news to be had from this fiasco, it's confirmed that the Witch Doctor is still alive.

I think in one of the earlier threads, someone speculated that he may have died. Guess not.

Bones Never Lie.

It pisses me off to see people wanting to settle with second rate hires and say Currie could save face by doing so!

Any hire by Currie is an absolute failure to change power structure away from Haslam.

Complacency got us to where we are now, so cut it out. Currie has to go. No more Haslam hires

I love Gundy and what he stands for.

BUT THAT SHADY MOTHER****ER CURRIE DOES NOT NEED TO BE TRYING TO MAKE A HIRE!

Does anyone realistically think Gundy would leave OSU for Tennessee? It sounds like he turned down the Florida job and with the perceived dumpster fire that is UT athletics right now....

There's no way he'll end up looking like a hero, at least to the people that have really kept up with this and most Vol fans. I would, however, give him a lot of credit if he were to resign and walk away, never to be heard from again.

Today’s emails are sent. I’ve also set my emails to go out every day indefinitely to those addresses. I suggest y’all do the same.

Or...leave TBA empty (completely) and students and protesters everywhere outside getting our point across. Wish I could be there and be part of it, but it would get some attention.

I've seen posters from TOS saying that's not the original Witch Doctor. The original did pass away.

I don't know if that's true or not. Tifwiw.

This should be a sticky! Everyone needs this attitude and we can get somewhere as one, not divided!

Just sent:

Mrs. Davenport... you don’t know me from Adam but I attended my daughters orientation and you spoke at that orientation. You spoke of all the great things going on on campus including athletics. Are athletics great? Let’s look at football.

I have sat in Neyland Stadium when it was sleeting so hard you couldn’t see the field. I have been at Shield Watkins field when it was so hot our mascot “Smokie” died from heat exhaustion. I have sat in overflow seats on the field that I thought were awesome even though at eye level you can’t see anything. I was at Neyland when QB Clint Stoerner from Arkansas fumbled the ball and Travis Henry had 4 runs and scored...propelling us towards a National Championship. Do you know how many times I’ve laughed at opponents complain about the ramps and thought “if they only knew about the hill... pre walkway”. I say all this to implore you to rethink the hiring of John Currie and his choices before Neyland becomes just a monument to the past. I would wager he doesn’t even know the Maxims. I will remind you of what I am following:

3) “If at first the game, or the breaks, go against you, don’t let up...put on more steam.

Mrs. Davenport I talked my daughter into attending the University of Tennessee as a legacy student and she has thrived there. She was offered membership into 4 academic honor societies this past semester. I am sure like you she has chosen the teaching field and is in UTs 5yr Masters program because she feels the need to give back. I talked her into UT over The University of Alabama, The University of Arkansas, Mississippi State and The University of Mississippi. She has expressed to me many times that she would love to have pictures like her other sorority friends at those other schools. They are posting pictures at their games of good times...winning. I apologize to her and her friends for not being able to give them the awesome game day experience that I enjoyed and loved. Well I think that is is going to change or she will not be attending any longer.

My family are past season ticket holders and I went online two weeks ago to check on club level season tickets again trusting that you and John Currie would deliver as promised the coach that could get us back to the glory days.

I feel that the only way that you, Mr. Currie and the president will listen is if I and many others stop attending games, not purchasing merchandise, not spending my very hard earned money on high priced hot dogs and cokes and though it pains me, not on any of the fine businesses in Knoxville, my second home.

I am proud my parents helped me with my tuition at the University of Tennessee. I was also sure that my daughter will appreciate her diploma from UT but every bit of that is in jeopardy.

This email is being blind copied to many others including: Marsha Blackburn, Mark White, David Kustoff, Bill Haslam, Lamar Alexander, Bob Corker, Joe DiPietro, John Currie and Madeline Rogero. My wife and I and every fan I know and can influence will quit....it’s in yours and the Board of Trustees court.

Not fair to punish our student athletes, who have worked their a$$ off, for the failures of adults in charge.

You’re right, got carried away for a second. Gundy will use UT for another raise.

Hyams likely got leaked the info by HOH to make it look like they are trying really hard before they go out and hire Coach GoogleFail.

He isn't going to sniff the white house, he wouldn't carry Tennessee much less anything else. NO WAY IN HAITI!!!!

President of the University. Not President of the US

He is waiting to jump on Lamar’s spot when it opens up. He has too much baggage to run for Corker’s spot. However, his family and money wield a TON of power inside the state.
