Any school might be nervous about hiring him as their head coach after seeing our reaction. It could very well be that we destroyed his career. If that's his mindset, then he's trying to get what he can, while he can.

Assuming he's innocent, I hate it for him, but I blame the AD, not the fans. He should never have been a candidate.

No defense, and always loses to the teams he should beat. Sound familiar? But my main issue is the fact that most are petitioning for Tee or Kiffin. We want someone with ties to the program, someone who is invested in making us return to the top.

Correct. His current position as Chairman of the Board is powerful enough.

Iron sharpens iron. It has been stated relentlessly but bears repeating, send your emails, twit your tweets (the more hashtags, the better), make the phone calls, etc. If you have yet to send an email or do any of the above, more than enough of us are willing to assist in providing templates.

I've been a loyal Vol fan for over 50 years. I've supported every Vol coach in my lifetime unconditionally. That will no longer be the case if Davenport and Currie are allowed to orchestrate the next hire. I spent thousands going to UT football games this year. I have traveled to support the team as far away as California. I will renounce my support for the team if Davenport and Currie are allowed to continue in their positions. They have damaged the University's reputation immeasurably with this latest fiasco, and I'm embarrassed by their arrogance and lack of respect for the fanbase. Fans will not tolerate their incompetence. They are puppets controlled by Haslam. The three are cancers. They have to be removed for UT to recover. NOW. Have the courage to do the right thing.

UCLA is paying Chip Kelly $4.6 million for 5 years. Chip Kelly at Oregon was 46-7 with four consecutive BCS bowl game appearances including the 2011 BCS National Championship Game.

That's reason enough to fire him right there.

Yeah but, once that UCLA job came open no one on the east coast was going to hire Kelly. I still agree with you but missing on Kelly was going to happen no matter who the AD was.
