As you know I felt (and still do) that he was not completely honest in the beginning or maybe he was just trying to sell us I'm unsure..... But I certainly appreciate his tenacity ..........

Yeah I know how you felt. Gosh, those wer fun times though. Lol. We had hope building up. Now this place feels so empty. And to top it off, the notion that Peyton was behind this in some way is just heart breaking. I’m afraid Currie is still going to make this hire, the boosters will be forced to wait and see and then we’re stuck with average for another 5-7 years.

One thing I'd love to know from those with knowledge (sorry if already asked/answered, I'm still getting caught up) about the inner workings.

Why is Currie still in a job today? It appears there's a serious game of musical chairs going on in K-Town at the moment and Currie's about to not have a seat. Davenport is hanging him out to dry, boosters are (probably) pissed as hell and getting out the skinning kits at the moment.

Is there no way of doing a "no confidence" removal or something along those lines? And if it's been done, why hasn't it been announced?

Everything you just said is mired in logic. It is quite evident that no one with any administrative power within the University operates with any kind of logic or reason at all.

So long time lurker on here and finally decided to join. I think I've kept up for the most part and just want to say thanks to all that bring honest info and I feel like I've seen enough to know who those are. I don't claim to be an insider nor have any insider connections, just friends of friends who may be, and everything I have gathered from them lines up with ATL and no one on the other side of the aisle so to speak even knew anything about this Schiano deal until it all came out yesterday. Like I said I'm no insider and not joining now acting like I've been on here for years, but just glad to finally join there seems to be a lot of passionate Vol fans and very respectable people I wouldn't mind conversing with from time to time.

Welcome.... Great first post...do it often

Looks like #13 in total offense. While Memphis is #5- with far less talent. Again, they both played UCLA. Closest thing to compare both teams to. Sorry, Page Not Found | NCAA.com

Either way, Tee is running a solid offense.

I like the Memphis guy too, but the intangibles we get from Tee on the 'Tennessee-Guy' and recruiting fronts are big separators for me. Give him the budget for a big staff and go get some talent.

My professional hat put on again...Ironically they are prob reviewing fire for cause. Some activity might have been fraudulent aka criminal. Across state lines..cough..Federal..State authorities might be moot which may be a good thing :)

*Edit I hope Atlanta's meeting might have had something to do with this..But hey its Tennessee who knows..I would be looking into it

I'm not yet sold that Peyton did that ... guess I am just naive

A p.s. to you, GV...your last sentence. They don't tell anyone anything, well, except for Jimmy Hyams, apparently.

I never once believed him. Lots of posters on here that I did believe and trust, but he definitely wasn't one of them. Not trying to be a jerk about it, was just a gut feeling.

The bolded is the question.....

I don't know. F***er should have been gone within hours of this s**tshow yesterday.

With prejudice...... Should be the shortest tenure as an AD in history.

Says something about who is pulling the strings, doesn't it?
