Official Jon Gruden Thread XLIV

Currie didn't make it to his meeting because he's busy trying to make sure the stands will be empty next season. This just flat out sucks man.

Thanks, it was me who asked.

So there is an Athletics committee, of which Charles Anderson is chair? vs a member?

Does anyone know FOR SURE who's on that? I tried searching a year or two ago, and I found nothing.

I still want to know who has their fingers in the pie.

The website wasn't clear. It listed Jubra (sp?) and Anderson as chair of the Athletics Committee.

Dan Patrick said "Tennessee is no longer a big time job by any means, and I wouldn't touch that job after what has just transpired"

As much as I like Patrick, he’s a member of the media. Nothing more, nothing less. Assuming that you have the full support of the university, I’m betting there’s dozens of coaches out there that believe they could be the one to bring us back.

Look at Clemson for crying out loud? Remember Oregon a few years back? Alabama had its drought. Florida sucks right now.

The right coach, with support, can make us great again. Zero doubt.

Having lived in Louisville for several years now (and on the Tennessee side south of bowling green for the majority of my life prior to my time at UT), i know that Brohm is well-thought of in both communities. He didn’t have a great year at Purdue...but he’s far from the worst that could happen. I know that’s not super promising to hear, but he’s considered a solid coach.

Our football program is at Defcon 1. It is bigger than Gruden, Schiano or any coach.

Give the HC to Fulmer. Let him hire all VFLs as his coordinators and position coaches.

Time for Orange & White blood.

I would get behind this in a heartbeat but I don’t think it’ll ever happen.

For the record, I'm in the Gruden thread and I am Gruden or bust. Maybe I'm stubborn or just naive. Maybe I should've posted in the Brohm thread (is there one?). Just sharing what others may have missed. I CHOOSE to believe the positivity this thread has brought during the roughest patch in UT football I have ever experienced.

He didn't have a great year? They were projected to win 2 games, I think O/U was 1.5. They won 6, 2 more than us, I would consider that an excellent first year.

I mean relative to what we thought we’d be getting as a coach. Certainly they exceeded the expectations of Purdue.

Exactly. The membership of the various committees can't be found online. This is a public institution.

What's wrong with this picture? Why hide who does what?
