Peyton signed off on the Schiano hire says Swain,Hubbs and Hyams.

Have to wonder why they continue to hammer that message home? If that is the case then Peyton owes this fanbase an apology.

But I think the main reason they keep saying this is to cover up for someone else. Namely, the Haslams.

It is time for a state investigation into the vetting and hiring practices at UT. I am sure that there is a lot that we can learn.

Did I say that to the poster?

Ignore them. I try but it gets hard sometimes. We have village idiots too, you don't have to look to hard to see what happened. And lawvol13? is pretty good with his summaries. I support you so there that. Thanks for the info you brought.

UT will likely have to pay Schiano some kind of settlement and may end up facing a lawsuit. Here's a potential way out of this $hithole.
1. Fire Currie
2. Haslam hires Schiano to coach the Browns in exchange for Schiano dropping his impending legal actions. If not, try to rally the support to run his azz off the BOT.
3. Hire David Blackburn as the new AD.
4. Resume the coaching search targeting actual quality candidates...starting with Gruden.

Morning knuck. Hope Ape is feeling well. Lets take it down a notch on our guys, and gals trying to pass along info. Hell if I had some, and i dont. I would be skeptical to post it in fear of having my fingers, and toes removed. Lets all remember, it is a message board. If ya dont like whats posted thats fine. But heck we dont need to go after our own.

Yep! A pure CYA move.

Guys we have 1 minute and 30 seconds left to play, we are on our own 5 yr line and down by 4 points, but we still have Peyton at QB (so to speak). Will we win, well the odds are against us .... BUT THERE IS A CHANCE

Hope for the best!
for a split second I had flash backs to General Neyland 😊

I can make his silence plausible but the him reaching out to potential assistants narrative if he was never in the mix has got me.

To be honest, I'm not making a push here to make it seem like theres still a chance, it just doesn't make sense.

Even if he's the attention whore he's accused of being, when is enough?

Could he not easily put this side of it to bed?

The narrative has changed. It went from Gruden or gtfo... to now lets just hope for a decent coach.
HOPE or gtfo!

If Gruden was offered and was on the table it better dadgum well come out. The truth needs to be told one way or the other. The fan base deserves to know and the questions better dang well be asked to all parties involved.

If gruden did turn us down, what's the point in staying quiet about it? That would be twice he's left us at the alter. Wouldn't it be better for UT to lay it out there, tell us the details to at least save face? Sorry if we don't want to hurt Jon's feelings...

None of this makes sense.

I'm so sick of seeing people blame gruden. Gruden didn't leave us at the alter. Gruden never wanted the job and he doesn't have to justify that to anyone. Your not his family or is agent. I fully believe we tried to get him, as everyone, including our incompetent AD knows he would be a hero if he could get it done. However, gruden obviously doesn't want to coach. It's no surprise. The people in these silly threads left themselves at the alter by believing in their heart this was happening. This all with no true evidence and people being verified by bartenders and fish gifs. Just because it fit someone's agenda, if gruden was in town, he wanted to be our coach. Gruden has been our santa clause since 2012. Rudolph isn't coming guys, so believe that and let's not fight it like a bunch of kids who just got told Santas not real.

We pulled together and had an amazing showing last night. Now let's focus our energy towards a coach we have a shot at, and someone that can begin to pull us out of this mess. Have a great day.
