Not trying to knock anybody bringing info, but how can someone bring news of Gruden for a week and then switch to Peterson in half a day. OleVol you have been a reason I have thought Gruden. How about you Exile or knuckle is your source switching at this time?

You can believe it or not, but I honestly believe Gruden is our man and will be announced as HC within 72 hrs. I just skeptical because of what I was told about Petersen. I will say Gruden is wanting a lot outside of salary. Incentives ect... They very well could give it to him. If they do he will be announced. But Currie also flew out to Seattle and talked to Petersen agent. (He cannot directly contact the coach while he is still coaching) But they engaged to get Petersen interested and he IS the #2 Man If it's not Gruden, which I think Gruden is it.

Either way they both are home runs and we are going to be ok! GBO!

That said, you need not be so literal in your reading. When he said "taking a vacation" he clearly meant "not working on finding a head coach in spite of the fact that he said that would be his sole focus until he got his man."

The fact that Currie felt comfortable spending the time flying down to the Bahamas, spending a day there supporting the BBall team, and flying back is a pretty good indicator that he had the coaching search well in hand by that point.

That's how to read it. Not that Beav (or anyone) literally thought Currie was on vacation.

I personally don't think it matters if it was a "vacation". It was Thanksgiving, he was there what, 2 whole days? And the basketball team was there too. Come on, some of these people need to get over themselves.

I havent seen it....many others havent i guess....i inderstand not revealing sources and understand loyalty and trust and principles, but damn...time to lay it all out there.

I have a sister and a nephew who are extremely close professionally to the biggest boosters we have. They have not heard anything, and if they had heard some pertinate info and told me, I wouldnt tell anybody here because they could get fired immediately. I don't give a crap about your rest, or sick stomachs,or anxiety problems.
