UCLA got the deal of the century and every coach angling for a big pay raise probably hates Chip Kelly about now. That 4.6 million in LA is about like 2.8 to 3.2 million in College Station, Knoxville or Gainesville.

One of the big things about cost of living, I saw an article about Peterson's 4+ million dollar salary at Washington. Due to the cost of living in Seattle, his current salary is worth 6.8 million in Knoxville.

You can give him a 3 million dollar a year raise in buying power just be moving him to Knoxville and offering 5 million dollars.

He is a special case as far as other coaches comparing salaries He is still getting $7mil a year from the 49ers, because he went to college instead of another NFL team.

Players were told this afternoon to expect an announcement regarding their new coach "this weekend".
Neyland Stadium Facilities staff have been told to rush their post-game cleanup following the Vanderbilt game.

He did not say the players would be told anything. he said their would be an announcement this weekend. their is a difference.

there is no way in this world the players find out, say, after the game, and we don't know before we go to bed tonight. leaks galore all over the interwebs.

i hope y'all are right, but if we've misinterpreted this statement from pill, there'll be more disappointment and discouragement from those expecting to hear something before we go to bed. that's all i'm saying.

Charles also clarified this by saying he was a candidate. In the media we have had about 8 coaches as "candidates".
