You can, if both parties are willing. But you can't make someone renegotiate if they don't want to.

Sure. Which is why many, if not most, employment contracts have grounds for termination and liquidated damages provisions in case of breach. You really can’t force either side to perform, you can only return the damaged party to a place they would have been before the breach, or use liquidated damages as a means to an end.

Does anyone remember the Playmakers TV series on ESPN back in the early 2000s and got cancelled after 1 season?

I would go back to watching ESPN programs if they would bring that show back.

I can’t remember why it got cancelled.
The NFL is why it got cancelled,it showed the behind the scenes of Pro football and it made them look bad

This is insane! I can’t believe this is happening!!! Thank you, thank you, thank you!

Yes, some of the people on here are unreal. Because of someone who I have nothing in common with other than love of the vols and VN, my whole family is heading to the game. And it will be the first one for my daughter. You people are amazing!

Soon! DONE!

If those same rumblings are true, then they will inform the team tonight and I expect some leaks to begin shortly after. Would you agree?

Seems true. 2 articles on home page about having our coach this weekend. Quote I like most.

Gruden is the name Vol fans covet, and the “Monday Night Football” analyst certainly isn’t personally doing anything to quiet his name’s association with Tennessee’s search. In addition to multiple trips into Knoxville this football season, Gruden also has discussed the job with UT officials and potential staff members, according to UT athletics employees, agents, an NFL executive and former Vols’ players including SEC champions and NFL veterans

They should just bring Gruden to the podium before the Vandy game. And Gruden can give the team a hoo rah speach on national tv before the game about what it means to be a Vol and fire the boys up for the game and him being their next leader. I know it'd never happen but it would be cool.

SOON

If we are talking about Gruden's contract with ESPN, we don't have many details on it, since it is a private document not subject to public scrutiny. Gruden has commented that it is "not a guaranteed contract," which has led some to speculate that it would be easier to terminate early than would a multi-year agreement.

It was also speculated that Gruden likely included an out-clause in the event that he took a coaching position.

In any event, those issues got worked out, one way or another. :)
