I'm sold.Chris Peterson is one of the best coaches in the country
It is still Gruden Until it isnt
Really??
You never heard of the coach at Boise that was competing and beating the P5 schools like Oklahoma, Oregon, etc?
He was a national sensation for several years.
Im thinking the perception of having national exposure that no other coach has
Again, I dont know and certainly have never read the rule book or if there even is a rule for this scenario
I think he is saying what the AD is telling him to say.
Not happening. Hell, he rarely even speaks of him and didnt even mention him in the latest War Room this morning on TOS. His top 3 was Mullen, Campbell, and Shiano. It's really odd how he avoids talking about Gruden at all. He talks about Thomas being approached. He notes Steele has been approached. However, he does not mention Gruden in that connection with it.
Honestly, the folks over on TOS are ready to revolt over the coverage of the coaching search. If it weren't for recruiting, I'd consider moving to the other paysite because they really have sh*t the bed these past few weeks.
Our insiders continue to say it's Gruden. Done deal. Today Hubbs said that Austin Thomas was being looked at to join next staff. That would be consistent with what we have heard regarding Gruden and him building his staff. Then an article came out saying that the UT facilities crew needed to get stadium cleaned up ASAP. They typically hold new coach introductions within the stadium and photo shoots on field, etc. So many of us believe that means an announcement soon. Also, Currie was in Knoxville all day today and just returned from Bahamas, so we all believe he already has his guy lined up.

Hubbs:
In talking to people today, I don't think there is anything for sure set up for some Sunday announcement. Couple of sources I spoke with said they didn't believe anything would be announced on Sunday.
I admit that I thought there would be more activity today. I thought Currie's return on Thanksgiving would mean he was heading somewhere today. Mullen made the most sense. Outside of Mullen, other candidates are playing today or tomorrow. No one is doing an interview the night before their game or the day of the game.
As for the Gruden stuff, my stance hasn't changed.
Hmmm. Maybe. I just don't see how the NCAA can get involved if Gruden is finishing up his contract with ESPN.
Now if Gruden got on MNF and started talking about specific recruits or recruiting in general, while under contract with UT, that would probably run afoul of the rules.
