I'd like to take this time to express my respect to those of you who did not buy into the propaganda that you have been fed for years that Tennessee should settle for being average. What is about to happen is a paradigm shift that sets right the belief that Tennessee belongs in the conversation of elite programs in the nation.

This is posted in another thread. For those that don't venture outside this thread, here you go

The University of Tennessee’s search for its next football coach is not officially two weeks old, but sources close to the process of finding Butch Jones’ replacement believe the Vols could have their next head coach within 72 hours. (Note, this article was published at 4:30 PM ET on Friday, November 24th)

Multiple sources on the UT campus, as well as people close to members of UT’s Board of Trustees, indicate that first-year athletics director John Currie could potentially wrap up his search by the close of the weekend or first of next week.

Currie fired Jones on Nov. 12, hours after the Vols were blown out, 50-17, at Missouri. Tennessee, under interim coach Brady Hoke, is seeking to avoid its first-ever eight-loss season when it (4-7, 0-7) hosts Vanderbilt Saturday afternoon inside Neyland Stadium.

Per multiple sources on the UT campus and connected to the school’s board of trustees, Tennessee event management and facilities staff have been informed to not waste any time in clean-up and turnaround efforts following the Vols’ finale against Vanderbilt. UT introduces new football coaches inside Neyland Stadium facilities and also historically hosts private meet-and-greet events for new coaches with boosters and program friends. Additionally, UT routinely conducts photo and video shoots on the field inside Neyland Stadium with a new coach

Where is Stone Cold at? The few players I’ve spoke to said Currie never told them anything, including that an announcement would be made. Curious what his brother says. I didn’t expect they’d hear a name, but at least that there would be an announcement on Sunday.

Yea well, you ain't been a damn bit funny tonight either Mother trucker. So there's that.
