I don't doubt that he knows who the coach is going to be. My fear remains that it's Miles. Thomas is a guy who left LSU for USC but only stayed at USC for 10 weeks. He then returned to Miles and LSU and cited personal relationships as the reason he returned to work for Miles.

Miles is on the market. Miles has apparently shown interest in the job. Thomas is a Miles guy. Currie stated the SEC level experience would be a big part of his job search.

I really really really hope it's not Miles. I'd just as soon have Fulmer back out there.

I think a Miles hire would catch everyone off guard. No word from any Knoxville or National media types that Miles is linked to the job. Stranger things have happened, but I feel like we would’ve heard more of Les Miles name. Just my opinion.

Only comments I remember from him were on integrity, doing things the right way (or something like that), and hiring the best coach for Tennessee.

Nothing about required experience.

One could make the argument that it could be Kiffin as well. It is neither Miles or Kiffin.

PLEASE don't let this scenario be true

I was hopeful in 2012. I have been keeping up with this thread since it started. I don't post much as you can tell but I'm so excited that this may actually be happening. Been waiting a long time for us to put commitment back into the football program. I know its going to be an emotional moment for me to see Gruden at the podium. GBO

I'm pretty sure you cannot recruit a potential transfer.

You guys must believe in the tooth fairy and Santa Claus if you think Gruden is taking the job. They wouldn't wait until the season was over to announce his hiring.

I can make you a great deal on the Golden Gate Bridge that I own. You can get rich, quick, by charging toll fees for all those cars that cross it daily. Don't let anyone else know about this or they will want in on it, too.

I still believe in the tooth fairy and Santa Claus and will continue to believe until proven otherwise,:):) in the meantime: Gruden to the Hill:)

Poster on TOS

"Saw a text from former VFL that basically said the framework of deal has been in place for weeks and unless JG walks away at 11th hour, the VFL said he'd be spending next thanksgiving in Knoxville. I've gone from hoping to believing. Chatta, hutch, vol in CLT have had this nailed"

When did Currie say anything about SEC experience???

It is going to be great to see Tennessee back at the top. No more whining about having to play Alabama every year and twice to win a championship. Just two opportunities to kick ***.
