While my family had Thanksgiving dinner yesterday at my house, I made an announcement in front of all 17 of them. “Jon Gruden will be our next coach.” My sister in law was the only one that agreed with me. Then I said “ all of you that think I am crazy. Next year you all will be eating crow for Thanksgiving.” Can I get a Dilly Dilly from you guys?

They are very real and very influential but they don't all remain as a bean throughout life.

I could see him doing that. Some have suggested he flew to Tampa, drove to Orlando to meet with Frost.

Seriously...pretty sure I read that "off topic" is allowed...always gonna be somebody with their underoos in a wad. I pity Freak having to babysit a bunch of grown men. He is a saint for giving you guys a free platform to vegetate on.

I don't see how he is safer, he doesn't have built in recruiting connections in the south, Gruden has been to many high schools and football camps all over the south and has many more connections with highs school coaches. Gruden has more inroads all over, period. It's different playing out west than playing in the SEC entire season. Gruden has a much better grasp of the south's landscape from recruiting to the true competition of the SEC. Not saying he wouldn't be good, but recruiting the type of talent is more of a concern for him than Gruden. And for those that say he can take 3's and win with them in the SEC, I say tell me that isn't a risk. Nothing safe about it. GRUDEN #1 choice all day long and twice on SUNDAY. In my opinion. SOON!!!!! GRUDEN TO ROCKY TOP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I agree with DTO and Slice. Info is harder to come about this time around. But I have been told that a house was purchased and finalized on and that the letter that was sent out about the meeting in the suite at the LSU game was legit and it was to push more money for Gruden's assistants in which it was approved for and done.

With the potential press conference coming on Sunday afternoon I do not see this happening. It looks like a coach that is finishing up their schedule tomorrow.

If that is the case, hopefully Peterson or Patterson. I hope not Mullen.

Saban did not have recruiting connections in the south when he took the LSU job.
