Yep.

I think the vast majority of folks in this thread would be very happy with a Petersen hire if for some reason Gruden fell through. By and large, Petersen would be a huge get if he was to come here.

Well, the majority except the Mullenites that come in to troll us of course. They'd be sobbing while surrounded by empty bottles of Smirnoff Ice and patting their 8x10 of Mullen that was set to be autographed.

Agreed. This thread is about hope and positive energy as much as it is about Gruden imo....but yeah it is mostly about Gruden.

So, it's 11:45pm est, and I just got totally caught up.

I know it's late and most have gone to bed by now, but just wanted to say I hope all the fellow grudenites had an awesome thanksgiving today.

I am with you, and I want our guy. At the same time I come here for good vibes and bits of truth. I am not going to go on a fact finding mission to make a case at midnight after a few drinks. That being said a very shallow search shows me connections that make a lot of sense given all the seemingly random chatter about staff and head coach, including the whole Jets scenario. It wouldn't take much to lay out a path pointing to Peterson.

Ummm so that was weird. I'm watching ESPN and they just showed the egg bowl highlights. Was talking about interims and Matt Luke. Then showed us with Brady Hoke and said "the coach making the biggest buzz in Volnation is our own Jon Gruden" and then went on talking about Florida.

Bring any of those other names to UT and I am thrilled. Bring Gruden though, and I will start a parade down Kingston Pike.

Same here. I don't buy the John Harbaugh talk but who knows. Frost is the only up and comer I wouldn't break my TV over. I think it's Gruden though. No straight denial from him or the AD, AD calm and collected about the search, crazy amounts of conflicting information = I think we got our man. Soon...

Hey guys, all this Mullen and Petersen talk has me all nervous, and I'm really just on the ledge right now. Just really think Gruden doesn't want to coach in college, and I'm ready to completely bail out on this whole program. Need MIT or Atlanta Vol or Bubba or really anyone at all with a juicy Grumor to give me some kind of hope before I jump off the ledge completely!





(It's still Gruden, y'all) :)
