I will make a deal with you. Give me Petersen and we will shut this down right now! I know....I know Gruden thread and I want Gruden too but damn....come on.
Hopefully the $ men came through this time. Peterson is the 3rd best coach in college football behind Saban and Meyer. I would be absolutely ecstatic.
Well said. I doubt a drill seargent is calling an 18 yr old a kid. I was an immature idiot in college, but lowering the bar doesn't help. This sounds like a small thing, but I've noticed that the word "kids" has become widely used around the University since I graduated, and I think its ever-present use is holding us back. Botch Jones used it all the time. Its use has become common enough that many of us innocently say it without considering its ramifications. This word might insidiously affect team performance by eroding discipline, responsibility, and pride. I've heard it applied to the football team, to the special snowflakes that used to be the Pride of the Southland, and to pretty much every program operated at UT. It's time we consciously think about avoiding the word in these contexts. Our team is composed of adults - they are grown men, and they need to be treated accordingly and they need to behave accordingly. I wonder how many times JJ heard himself referred to as a kid?
Again, this is a small thing, but every little small thing has snowballed into the sh**show that has become Tennessee over the last decade. Things must change.
Gruden to the Hill!

Yes, in Point Richmond. View from the living room was down the hill, of the Bay and Angel Island.
Worked in SF, out near Cliff House.
We'd go back in a flash, if we could afford it. And if I didn't have to make the @#$%^&* commute. 25 minutes in in the morning; 1 1/2 hour+ out in the afternoon.
Well, obviously if that were up for public discussion it would have been disclosed. But there are other participants in this process, and that is where a couple of our insiders have gotten their info. And to make it more telling, they have different sources themselves.
Gruden to the Hill, Coasty! Gruden to the Hill!
