Not defending Mullen but florida's ad was at miss state. Apparently the two did not like each other.

This isn't necessarily true. The only issue was Stricklin didn't extend Mullen before he left.

Mullen's wife has made it known that she didn't care for Gainesville. Also, the AD, Stricklin, has roots in Starkville and MS. He didn't want to leave, but UF came back with a better offer that he couldn't refuse. If Stricklin hired Mullen, he wouldn't be able to set foot in Starkville again.
