Official Jon Gruden thread XLI

The Calhoun's photo and Seattle photo could not work with the time. The Calhoun's photo has a TV in the background showing the Ohio State-Illinois game. The score was 7-0, and the game kicked at 3:30 PM Eastern. A flight from Seattle would be 4 hours. Gruden would have had to take off from Seattle at 11:30 AM Eastern, which is of course 8:30 AM Pacific. Add in the travel time to and from the Seattle practice facility to the Seattle airport and from the Knoxville airport to Calhoun's...it just doesn't add up knowing that the Calhoun's photo was taken around 4:00 PM Eastern. Reversing the trip to be Knoxville first then Seattle still doesn't work as the Seattle pic came out before Gruden would have landed if he had left right after the Calhoun's photo was taken. Both could not have happened on the same day unless Seattle was practicing at like 7:30 AM Pacific.

FYI, per the Seahawks website, practice usually begins at 10am PST

The pgp key makes sense and is the most obvious solution. However, why would Bubba want to disclose his identity (or mission, line of work, who he works for, etc. to anyone, media or not) when he has operated under full anonymity? :....Maybe it's just an indication that he's Bubba on VN, and nothing more.

What is Internet shill? - Definition from WhatIs.com

If you are paid to be an anonymous influencer at some point you need to show your work... without actually being identifiable.

The hex key hides a longer ID key that only means something to the other party he communicates with.
The guy may have legit info, but I believe he is being paid to influence.

yeah, man! but this one is second to none. this thread is the raison d'etre of all would be contender threads

Agreed but that what makes the Gruden threads so much fun , it’s always more than gruden and it never fails to live up to the billing no matter which side of the fence your on .

The counterpoints are all valid, and make it way more likely it’s not true. But a good conspiracy theory is fun to think about, and there are enough nuggets to at least put together a counter argument (no matter how weak).

Conspiracies can be fun but usually require a thread of plausibility. Simply being possible in a sea of unlikely doesn’t really help me suspend my disbelief.

That said, sometimes truth is stranger than fiction.

Neither has Boro said that if iirc

Correct, none have said that. People can't read if they say that. I do believe they personally think it's Gruden, and have even referred to Gruden at times. But none of that 3 has ever straight out said Gruden is a done deal. But I think Gruden will be the next coach of the Tennessee Vols!!!!! SOON!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Just woke up. Where is the photo of him at Calhoun's?

I believe someone deciphered his code and it said that. But he didn’t outright post that on here. I’ll say this, he is the most peculiar and intriguing person in this whole thing. I suspect someone with a high level of intelligence who chose the name bubba as a direct contradiction to what he is.

Since I saw a number of references to my deciphering, this was my post

Original

I used the converter here: Rune Converter: English Letters to Germanic Runes Converter

Had to form the english to produce the same rune output, thus the english of "gruden tu thy hil sun". You cold interpret the "u" as an "oo" sound, so "sun" could be "soon" vs "sun" as in Sunday.

Just wanted to wish everyone a safe, happy, well informed Thanksgiving. Spend some time with your families then sneak away every once in awhile to check VN. Go Vols!

So the whole production team for Espn is on the smokescreen? Guys I want Gruden to be the next coach as bad as anyone, but some of things are just getting out of hand.

Similar to the LSU game being on ESPN...that had to be a sign, right? Gruden in Knoxville that afternoon and the game on ESPN in Primetime! Too many dots not to connect...:loco::thud:

This place is entertaining, if nothing else.

I think it’s really, likely insanely unlikely, that these guys were at Calhoun’s. It’s about as unlikely as the big wig meeting that happened at Olive Garden.

First off, why risk a public spectacle you’re eventually going to have to explain and/or to try to control information from every person who could’ve been in or around Calhoun’s at that time? That is a lot of people, employees, and bystanders.

Second, if you’re a VIP at UT with access to a skybox and want Calhoun’s, you’d get Calhoun’s in your skybox. There’s no reason to go there for the food. See also the point above.

There is no debating if Peyton was there. Gruden was the debate. Right?

Calhouns in Cool Springs lasted about as long is it takes me to blink. They have a prime spot in Knoxville for gamedays. Not much else I can say in their favor.

Interesting

Didn’t the Beav at one point say very clearly that his point was to influence? That word has always stuck out to me. If your point is to influence, your information can’t be trusted as being wholly accurate and unbiased.

Ex: I don’t trust Ford commercials to tell me which truck is objectively the best, but I do trust them to tell me why they think I should buy a Ford.
