The hexadecimal code can be undone and converted to decimal like so:

For instance,

941A = (9x16^3) + (4x16^2) + (1x16^1) + (10x16^0)
= 36864 + 1024 + 16 + 10
= 37914 (decimal)

Hexadecimal uses a base of 16, decimal a base of 10, octal a base of 8 and binary a base of 2. Hexadecimal entries are in the range of 0-9 and A-F (10-15).

As for translating this any further, the key someone posted last night may be needed. We need a map to go from number representations to letters (unless the numbers and a particular combination lead us elsewhere).

Nothing earthshattering, but thought I'd give a little background on this number representation and provide my opinion.

Excellent work.

I've been saying ESPN is the last thing on the Grude's mind if he's in on the VOLS. I don't think that matters and if he's able to promote the orange for a few games, hey, free media time. Not dissing, just thinking out loud here.

No offense taken. I hope you’re right.

MNF is in Baltimore. That’s a relatively short flight from Knoxville....plenty of time to party on the Hill Sunday before hitting the booth with an orange tie on Monday!

I majored in English, and this is closer to rocket surgery!

Perhaps Team/official visits informed Sat night? Press Conf Sunday?

Possibly but didn't someone claim that a lot of the official visits had been rescheduled for next weekend? I thought it was odd to visit after the season was over. Heck, maybe I'm hallucinating.

This is AWESOME! I just don't think that this is a hexadecimal. He has the word "Fingerprint" in front of the code. It is a PGP Fingerprint Key. Reporters use them to verify their identity.

All the OV's were rescheduled. The ones coming in are UOV's.

If not Grude, Scott Frost looks the part. Parents were both coaches. Impressive college career. Played under coaching greats, young (42), energetic and most importantly TOUGH. Looks the part:

Frost was coached by Stanford’s Bill Walsh, Nebraska’s Tom Osborne, the New York Jets’ Bill Parcells and Bill Belichick, and Jon Gruden. He broke into the coaching ranks as a graduate assistant at his alma mater in 2002 before filling the same role at Kansas State in 2006.

Frost took a position at Northern Iowa in 2007 as linebackers coach before being elevated as the Panthers’ co-defensive coordinator one year later. His defense finished the 2008 season tied for third in the Football Championship Subdivision in takeaways (40) and ninth in the country in scoring defense (17.7 ppg). With a 12–3 record, they also led the Missouri Valley Football Conference in rushing defense (107.1 avg.) and scoring defense.[8]

He joined the Oregon coaching staff as its wide receivers coach on January 26, 2009. Working under head coach Chip Kelly and offensive coordinator Mark Helfrich, Frost was instrumental in instituting a toughness among his receivers that enhanced their ability as downfield blockers, which contributed to the success of the Ducks’ running game. During his four seasons at Oregon as wide receivers coach, the Ducks reached four straight BCS bowls and three of his departed wide receivers during his Oregon tenure have been invited into NFL camps.

After the departure of Kelly, the University of Oregon promoted Helfrich to head coach and Frost was later officially announced as the offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach on January 31, 2013.[9] In 2014, Frost was a finalist for the Broyles Award, given annually to the nation's top college football assistant coach.

On December 1, 2015, Frost was hired as the head football coach at the University of Central Florida.[10] Frost replaced long time UCF head coach George O'Leary and interim head coach Danny Barrett, who took over the Knights when O'Leary resigned following an 0-8 start.

37914...That's my zip! It must be a sign!

Frost will win championships in his career. If not Gruden, Frost or Patterson are my choices.

Excellent work.

I pulled that hex number out of thin air, but the previously posted stream of digits did have a 94A1, which translates to 38049 (decimal). In staying true to the zip code logic, this is located northeast of Memphis, in the Mason and Braden areas.

If Gruden had been signed it would have been announced right after Butch was fired.

I originally thought that as well, but if Grude didn't want to do that to the assistants to give them time to work deals, then the Grude would have gotten his way on that one. And it would have given him time to recruit assistants without the media attention an early announcement would have created. If he's gonna come, this is gonna be a HUGE media event.

But I believe the key translation to Hex, and vice versa, may tell us something. Unless, of course, there is no distinct pattern or assignment.

The hexadecimal code can be undone and converted to decimal like so:

For instance,

Jmo, but I think it's extremely interesting that on Tuesday, Bubba said to keep an eye on VN tomorrow, which was yesterday.

.

He did not say that. Someone took the Tolkien script which says “Gruden to the Hill Soon” roughly and said read it backwards. With a great stretch you could make it say Tune in to VN tomorrow.

If he comes then it will be a big deal, but i just dont believe it. Sry i know this is the Grude thread. I believe Frost has already agreed to the job.
