I’ve always thought we would get Gruden because we had 340 million reasons to hire him and we were in desperate need to unite the fan base. It’s going to be a Merry Christmas for Vol fans. While I still don’t think we should be playing Bama every year my opinion, let’s get on with kicking their a$$!

Sounds like the leaks have begun. Should be a fun few days. Tell your wife you’ll be back soon. Let’s finish this!

There may be an entire thread solely comprised of Booms!

Good morning everyone. 1 day closer. I’m off to Dollywood. The land of funnel cakes, 90’s fashion and bluegrass carols. Can’t wait.

IMO, a Sunday announcement doesn’t make any sense for Gruden. I can’t see how he’d do MNF after being named our coach. It’d overshadow the broadcast. Unless, they decided to shoot some promos and are going all in with it. But I just can’t see that.

It's actually the perfect time. He gets announced Sunday then Monday night he calls his last game and gives his good bye speech. It's makes perfect sense and is the right way to do it. It's doubtful he finishes the year and gives him a chance to say good bye to his NFL fans. It absolutely makes the most sense.

You guys must believe in the tooth fairy and Santa Claus if you think Gruden is taking the job. They wouldn't wait until the season was over to announce his hiring.

I can make you a great deal on the Golden Gate Bridge that I own. You can get rich, quick, by charging toll fees for all those cars that cross it daily. Don't let anyone else know about this or they will want in on it, too.

Other forums might be right for you.

It’s the time line for me.

It wouldn’t make sense to announce Gruden Sunday
Maybe it’s Peterson maybe Patterson
Who knows

How does it not make sense? He gets announced Sunday and Monday is his last game as a MNF host. Makes perfect sense and the most sense. He can tell his fans and audience good bye and he appreciates and has enjoyed his MNF run.

And Rex Ryan replaces him for the remainder of the year.

Just got a text of a picture of Mullen this morning. He was doing a thing with the Salvation Army and he was the only one not in MS St gear. Gawd I hope it's not Mullen...

I dont understand infatuation with this guy ( won’t type his name)!!! He has three 9+ win seasons in last nine years. He!!, Botch had five 9+ win seasons in same time period. Anybody wanna hire him back?

Long time lurker- new to posting. GRUDEN TO THE HILL!!

Austin Thomas to Tennessee tells me that Blackburn is already on the job as Gruden's Director of Football Operations. Not officially on the job but effectively on it.

We quit the tradition of The Third Saturday in October and I quit caring about college football.
