I think the timing of the announcement is the result of a negotiation. Jon Gruden was undoubtedly hard over on "not until the season ends; no distraction from current staff." University was likely "sooner better than later, we have a top 5 recruiting class to hold together (pull back together)."

The first available date that meets both those positions' minimum needs is Sunday.

MNF considerations are probably a secondary consideration on both sides, though it undoubtedly also came up. Which is why Tuesday remains one of the three most likely days for the announcement.

But if LWS is saying he hears Sunday, I'd be inclined to think Sunday.

Whichever day it is, it's Gruden. No worries on that front.

It's not just that or him being in Baltimore. If they announce it Sunday, MNF would be a circus.

I don't see it happening the day before MNF. If it's Gruden.

If Gruden is gonna stay on and do MNF the rest of the year, they might want it for the spectacle.

Just got home from BPS myself. The gun counter was a cluster, I didn't get near it, other than to walk past it.

NFL has been declining and announcing such a huge story that would draw attention away from the game just doesn't make sense to me. But I really don't know.

My son and his wife came to get a power wheels car for their little boy and they were back home before we even got to the line to get a ticket for the background check.

That's exactly what I went to get, the red chevy power wheels truck. My son will be tickled pink.

That was a heck of a deal on the Ruger 380, and had the line not been so long, I would've gotten it.

I have no patience for insanity, though.
