Agreed!!! Never really passed the smell test for me. Not saying it didn't really happen but it SEEMED strange the way it unfolded on VN.

Let me clear it up, I really did have a conversation with a good friend who I play golf with regularly (who is a writer/on air personality) regarding the fact that the threat of a. Being let go by ESPN or b. Being retained at a lower pay rate — are very real possibilities, that were proposed by earlier posters.

My posting of a picture was an attempt at humor, as I had just seen MIT post a pic of his blue BMW as “proof” of my small nugget of info ;)

The horses mouth would be Peyton, and he will never coach football ever. Also, I don't care how big of a name you are, you can not just step into a lead coaching job, you have to work your way up.

Dude, I swear I’m not making this up, but my buddy sent me a screenshot of the exact same thing you just said like 10 minutes ago!! I still have the text, but not sure if it would show his number. I know his nephews name is Robbie!!!

I don't play golf with anybody.
I don't know John Currie, Jon Gruden, Cindy Gruden, Derek Dooley, Barbara Dooley, or Vickie Fulmer.
I don't know anyone that works at Pilot HQ.
I don't own a private plane.
I have no nephews who are frat brothers or rugby teammates with Gruden's son.
I don't sell high end East Tennessee real estate.
My uncle's neighbor doesn't have a Doctor whose daughter knows a guy whose co-worker blah, blah, blah, blah.......

How do you know where DIrtyHarry's source of info worked? But you claim that your source is from a guy who works at the same place.
